Tragedy Crime

To The Ladies Who Are

To The Ladies Who Are

Bye mum she said,

Beautiful was her life that she lead

She was the apple of her father's eye

She was the one who never lied.

Late at night, she was returning home

Groped by some loafers, on the street they roam.

Mistake was hers, because she was out so late

Those people thought her as their perfect date.

She screamed and cried...

All her tears died

Heinous was the act that took place

No one was there with her who could embrace.

She was raped by those 4 men

Bleeding she was from everywhere then

They were heartless and continued to rape

Tied were her hands and mouth were taped.

One by one they enjoyed with her

She went out, mistake was her.

Thrown out of the bus, she was lying

No one was there to help and she kept dying.

Taken to hospital where she fought for life

No one was then ready to make her his wife.

People blamed her short clothes that she wore

She was considered a slut and a whore

Her only mistake was she was a girl

Who left her house in those sweet curls.

True it is, death waits for none

And she left everyone, her rituals yet to be done.

"We want justice" is what kept luring everywhere

But no one came when she was screaming there

Candle March and attractive slogans were at it's best

And she was the one who failed in her life's test.

Her parents were shattered and broken

Their emotions and love, all was frozen.

They craved for justice and wanted to see those criminals cry

But day by day, all their hopes died.

Father and brother, yelled in pain

When they were on her funeral in that lane

Justice was late but yes it came

Father smiled after years when he heard her name

"Rapists were to be hanged till death", was the final verdict,

And finally she got justice and her fight was worth it.
