Birds

Waking up in the morning and I am free,

See the sparrow chirping on a tree.

During morning walk sometime see a peacock,

When it dances, it always rocks.

As if colored with blue brown dyes,

The sight of a kingfisher soothes my eyes.

Listening to the sound of a song so sweet,

Koo Koo of the koyal is my ear’s treat.

To parrots in the zoo, red chilies are fed,

Body dark green and beak pure red.

Different birds sighted during different seasons,

Have seen so many different types of pigeons.

Hornbill is a very good nutcracker,

Drilling the trees, the lovely woodpecker.

Some birds are very common to see,

Maina and bulbul daily visit my tree.

Some bird’s siblings have a very strong bond,

Duck is followed by ducklings in the pond.

The bird is god’s most colorful creature,

All different birds add color to nature.

Symbol of world peace and love,

It’s the beautiful little white dove.
