Perceptions

Perceptions

The world is built on a pile of perceptions, as if it wants to provoke anxiety and fear in its residents.

Someone once thought The Earth to be flat; would he have also thought about falling off from the edge of the world?

Yet another being thought of a genocide; did he for once think about a random little girl, writing her diary in the basement of a broken home?

Did the pilot of the bomber plane ever forgive himself for burning up flesh into ashes?

As if the war wasn’t enough, leaders perceived division of the country as ideal. For once, did it occur to them, about the anxiousness of a little girl who was forced to flee, leaving her everything behind, only to be lost in a ragged crowd again?

Which power thinks about fear?

Whose thoughts align with those suffering?

Did you think about the man you left standing at the signal?

Who is to blame really?

You? Me?

The great nations or the not so great ones?

The callous attitudes that shroud all the brilliant efforts. The cold hearts that never seem to have a bright day and make even the smartest of the lot want to dig their nails in their skins over and over.

Who is to blame for our perceptions?
