Blessed To Be A ‘Mother’

Every girl probably dreams

Of getting married someday

And have a child

Who will be her mirror image!

But not all are blessed

To have this precious gift from God

Many even give up half way

Thinking their prayers won’t be answered!

Before I could 

Think of being a mother

As I was walking on my knees

‘Mama’ was the soothing word I heard!

I’m lucky to be blessed

With a beautiful child

Though he was born through me

I believe he has given me a new life!

Waiting for nine months

Wasn’t an easy phase

Even on completion of full term

I was longing to see your face!

The day you were born

Was my luckiest day

Even your birth date showed

Numerically lined up straight!

Your first sight my child

Made me forget all my pain

Can’t stop thanking God

For your gift, I’ll always embrace!
