Lingering Aroma

Lingering Aroma

Rushing,

Gushing,

Pouring through window,

The gleam,

Wakes me up to,

Another beautiful tomorrow.

Quaint flutter,

Chirping and tweeting,

Titillates my half awake status,

Impels me,

To come out of,

State of stupor.

My modest squint,

To adapt to sunlight,

Elicits a poised move,

And I open lashes slowly,

To be privy to,

Nature's treasure trove.

Fluffy clouds,

Glide across,

Cast shadow,

On fragile flowers,

Save blooms,

From wilt,

Butterflies with crafted wings,

Take time,

To choose their perch,

And meadows glisten,

Under shine,

Set the tunes as such.

The lofty oak tree,

Offers shade,

Flaunts shoots and leaves,

Having remained dormant,

All winter,

Now compensates.

The lingering aroma of,

Rich frothing coffee,

Shakes me up,

Yet holds me captive,

As I try to shed inertia,

And slip into routine.
