Let Us Save Girl Child

It was almost five, and I Developed hands and Feet,

But, I was unaware that, To me, no one will greet.

My mother went to the Doctor, and spoke in Serious tones,

"If the baby would be a Girl, you will be killed by Me with stones."

The evil doctor, and his Assistant killed me with A knife,

They knew that it was Wrong, but then too, They Spoiled my life.

A girl is given dolls, and Boys to play with, Expensive toys.

Let us finish the Practice, Of Differentiating Between Girls and boys.

Let us walk, hand in Hand and make a true Way,

Where the boys and girls Together, can happily Play.

Let us save the girl Child And make our life good,

As the girls can even, Light the dark woods.
