Chasing your Shadow-I

On one fine dawn

The sun slipped through my window

In utter silence,

Standing at a distance

He called my name,

Without any noise,

Asked me to play a new game.

With half-open eyes,

I winked at the sun.

But could not understand,

What was going on?

Presuming to be a dream,

Again, closed my eyes

And hid in my blanket.

With crimson shades, he painted

My room and called my name out loud.

Enthralled by the voice,

I woke up from bed.

As if I was left Without any choice.

Followed the golden mantilla.

Thrown by the sun.

Being keen about the reason,

I moved on.

Being curious, Asked the sun.

The name of the game,

I was going to play,

For which he had called me for.

"Chasing your shadow, is the name of the game.

The details of which, will be revealed

The next day he comes," answered the sun.
