Never to befriend each other,

If one breaks, other disappears.

Ceramic, glass, bone china,

Different shapes, sizes, colours,

Many choices for discerning buyers,

Serving same purpose for users.

Over times, the two drifted apart,

Clash of egos over who comes first,

Arrogant cup took serious affront,

Saucer claiming covering the butt.

Stripped of its supreme dignity,

Cup told saucer 'you cease to exist',

Ending the storm in the teacup

Began with, who comes first.
