Summer Longing
Summer Longing
Has it not been a long day?
The sky has changed it’s colour
The sun more brighter
Have you not missed me in quite a while?
Unpleasant are the dusk of summer
And the dawn
And I didn’t pray it to stay.
Aquaholic I’m getting.
My damp throats
With still a lump to be hidden.
Berries and iced tea stopped working
While dandelions and daisy
Are not eye catchy.
In my leisure I am longing for serenity.
Denim shorts and goggles
Are not complementing my looks
Sun-kissed face is pale than red.
Noon nap is taking me to a meadow.
While night sky is bringing your vibes.
Those sand castles I build
Are long destroyed by the winds.
Hazy are the memories of that voyage
Which leads to these strings.
Completely lost are you
In the blistering heat?
Tired are my eyes waiting
And ears hearing sizzling issues.
Memories drenched in the morning dew
Forgot it’s way to come back to.
This summer solstice is testing me up.
So, crank up the A/C
Have an ice cream sundae
With lemonade and hamburgers.
