Unspoken
Unspoken
I come when the pain,
Becomes too much to take.
I come when you are sad,
And your heart lies broken.
Sometimes I mean joy,
Sometimes sorrow.
I am Salty and warm,
I might be big or small,
Sometimes when you are strong,
I don't come at all.
Against your will,
You summon me because,
This world is a giant factory,
and Society is the mold that shapes us all.
Those who fit in shall flourish
and those like you who don't
will perish.
You cry because,
Society is a harsh mistress,
Her rules and etiquettes,
are but chains,
imprisoning brilliance
and promoting mediocrity.
Everyday you wake up
and struggle to wear the corset
of society.
You suffocate your genius
Just to be called normal
Just to be another cog in the machine
Another brick in the wall.
You seek solace within me,
For life is brutal and harsh,
You are shackled and chained,
You want to shake them off
and you want to fly away
Far far away,
From this vale of tears,
To soar in the blue sky
like a bird of prey.
To reach the stars so close
yet so far away.
I know all this because,
Tears are words that the heart can't express.
