The Bestie

She was a young girl,

Her mother passed away a year back.

She lived with her granny and father.

The granny was too old,

To look after and play with her,

Most of the times she falls ill,

But the girl was busy with her friend.

She had curly hairs and glimmering eyes, and she was an angel,

With a wand of love and affection.

No matter she missed her mom, she never forgets to smile,

And make others smile, with her naughty acts.

Her father was a superhero she always misses him.

With her eyes filled with love, she waits eagerly for him.

Her father was a firm believer in astrology and fate.

He was not doing well, in recent times,

He lost his wife and lost the way in life.

He enters the house with frustration.

The girl comes running towards him, not for toys or chocolates.

But to hug her friend, with love.

The dad shouts at the girl.

He believed that she was the reason for his fate.

The little girl didn’t understand a word.

But from his face, she understood what he meant.

She went and started living in her world.

The world of two people, she and her companion,

A friend who doesn’t complain.

Never talks, but who listens to her, with patience, and

The luckiest person, for being loved by her.

A friend left by her mother on her birthday, everyone sees

Him as a softy toy, but teddy was her only friend

Who understood her.
