It was just the other day,

You were held back from,

Racing down the balcony,

To reach the main door.

To greet your dad,

Returning home tired,

After a long work day;

And in the process hurt

Your baby shoulder blade;

....or so we thought!

Till we were proved wrong,

After making the rounds

Of doctor's clinics.

Inconsolable you crying,

nonstop aloud!

You've come a long way,

Since that day;

Sprinting across many pathways,

Opening doors to reach

Your goals, making us proud.

Of every milestone you crossed.
