Religion

The word itself carries so many questions,

I wish if "Religion" would mean as realization;

Realizing your real value, power & creativity

& if their fused form could be defined as "religion".

I see people chanting the mantra of Geeta,

People praying the words of the Quran,

& listening to the scriptures of the Bible.

But if one could trust the words humanity whispers;

The world would be a better place to live.

Bloodmongers are scattered here & there,

The wars are in the name of religion are no less.

The word hides so many mysteries itself,

I wish if "Religion" would mean rejuvenation at a stretch;

Rejuvenating your mind, thoughts & hope

& if their amalgamation could be tagged as "Religion".

I see people worry about preaching extremity of Hinduism,

People praise about the greatness of Islam,

& people pretend to expand the name of Christianism.

But if one could trust the words equality mutters;

The world would be a better place to live.

The word itself beholds so many untold tales,

I wish if " Religion" would mean reformation;

Reformation of our frail beliefs, fragile taboos & erroneous pillars,

& if their reformation would add up to "Religion".

I see people blindly follow fake rituals,

People intentionally hurt each other's emotion

& people forget the virtues of humanism.

But if one could trust the words love spreads;

The world would be a better place to live.

The word itself keeps numerous unseen beauties.

I wish if “Religion” would mean revolution;

Revolution of education, ethics, etiquettes & ethnicity,

& if their conjugation could be named as “Religion”.

I see people doing revolution in the competition of fame,

& the competition of humiliating each other,

& taste the triumph of conspiracy game.

But if one could trust the words care speaks;

The world would be a better place to live.

The word itself beholds a lot of puzzles,

I wish if “ Religion” would mean relief;

Relief from wars, quarrels, fights & terrorists,

& if these reliefs could be united as “Religion”.

I see people initiate wars in the name of religion,

have a deadly fight taking the issues of caste,

& blasting bombs against each other’s country in the name of superiority.

But if one could trust the words peace preaches;

The world would be a better place to live.

Hope one day these flag bearers of religion will know;

Know the definition of religion leads where love blows.

Hope one-day blood mongers will get to realize;

realize the description of religion is free of vice.

Hope one-day war lovers will at last understand;

Understand the meaning of religion is free of demand.

Hope one-day dividers of castes & religion will find,

Find the tales of religion that indicate only to be entwined.

Hope one day the barricades of religion will be smashed;

Unity, humanity, peace & ethnicity will together be blessed.
