The Venom
The Venom
I lived happily with my family.
I was surrounded by green lush lawns,
Sometimes we suffer from rain but we do get blessed
With a heavy meal as well.
With time and change in leadership, we remained as barbarians.
Though within us we vary in look and size
We keep our promises as a betrayal is not in our blood.
Sometimes we get crushed while making a livelihood,
At times nature awards us death through hunger and predators.
Life hasn't been easy with intelligent species around.
We get hunted for our skin, for our saliva and at times for our flesh as well.
Some celebrate us by treating us as an avatar of God
And others part of their culture and at times as devil.
I am just a species like you, I do fear, I strive to survival.
I am neither God nor a devil.
But why we get hated and beaten to death
When we appear in front of you?
Why the trust of God itself
lost when he appears through me?
Hope I get an answer, our breed is safe
When we live as a statue around the neck
Of the deity not when we are alive.
Not sure who is venomous when the fear plays in life.
