Wife's secret

Somewhere in the middle

Radha and Gopal were blindfolded and brought to a godown. After shouting for hours and without any help coming, they gave up disappointed. Radha, gathering some energy, slowly called, "Gopal, are you here?"

"Yes", replied Gopal sounding helpless.

"Who do you think brought us here?"

"Who else, my boss?" said Gopal.

"But why?"

"My doubts and gossip came true."

"What gossips? Tell me what is going on."

"Our boss has a weakness. He asked to bring you to his home."

"So, what? We could have gone to his house."

"He likes married woman, and I said no."

"OMG."

"He promised a lot of money in return. He warned me this was going to happen when I rejected."

Radha and Gopal suddenly hear the sounds of a car approaching the building. They both know who it was, even with blindfolds.

The Pre-Climax

Radha and Gopal were hearing some arguments going on. 

"Remove the blindfolds now. They know who brought them here. We only needed them not to know where they are."

Krishna made out the voice belonged to the owner. Before he said that to, Radha the rowdies came and opened their blindfolds. On opening her eyes, Radha saw Rajagopal. Radha has not met Rajagopal before, but she saw his pictures. 

Seeing Radha, Rajagopal said, "Your face looks more beautiful closer." Radha turned her head away in disgust.

"Don't turn away. I came all this way to see you."

Radha did not react. Rajagopal can see she was angry.

"Your husband, too, was angry when I asked to bring you to my guest house. See where it brought you."

Radha still did not react to Rajagopal's words. Rajagopal signalled to the men there. They brought an iron rod and hit Gopal with it, and he started screaming out of pain. That was when Radha realised they were in Rajagopal's mercy.   

"Please don't torture my husband", requested Radha.

"Accept my proposal."

"What is it?"

"Marry me. You don't have to live with me or anything. You can come once a week to my guest house."

"Please, I am a married woman. Why do you do this to me?" begged Radha. 

"See, I have a weakness for married woman. To your bad luck, my astrologer told me to marry you for great fortunes. "

"I cannot do that. I am in love with my husband."

"You can be his wife rest of the week."

"No, I cannot do that," said Radha in a tear-filled voice.

Rajagopal signalled again to the man standing next to Gopal. The man hit Gopal hard again with the rod. Gopal started screaming again out of pain. Radha turned to look at Gopal blood started flowing from Gopal's head. 

"Please, please, I cannot accept your terms. Please let us go. What wrong did we do to you."

Rajagopal smiled without an ounce of compassion to Gopal. 

"You are a rich man. There will be many women who will be ready to do what you want. Why don't you let go of me?"

Rajagopal, in response, holding the bloodied face of Gopal in hand, "What is so great about this guy. He is only one of 15,000 employees. He is not that handsome too. Why can't you accept me?"

"Because I love him. He is the only one for me."

"Love?"

"Yes, Love. People like you don't know what love is."

"I don't know what love is, you say. I have people who love me unconditionally. My wife knows where I am now, what I am doing with you. You know why? Because she loves me. She wants me to have what I want."

Radha dramatically spits out in disgust.

"You show whatever emotion you want. But we are together for 30 years without any problems. Your husband could not see you happy. I promised him millions, but he cannot see how you are going to benefit. He cannot sacrifice for your happiness. All I asked was one day with you in a week."

"I don't need your money."

"You are living in my money. Don't forget I pay your husband's salary."

"He got the job for his talent, and he is a good engineer in your company. You are making a lot of money out of your work. You are not giving him any charity." replied Radha.

"I am not talking of charity. One day a week is all I ask for a lot in return."

"Get los..." before Radha finished the sentence, the rod landed on Gopal's head. 

"Be careful with your words. I am the one calling the shots here", said Rajagopal.

"Please don't hit my husband."

"Then accept."

"No, I won't".

"Okay. I will show you something which makes your decision easy", said Rajagopal and signalled to his henchmen. 

Radha turned to see Gopal, Gopal with residual energy blinked as if trying to say something.

Climax

The henchmen removed the ropes that were tied to Radha and Gopal and dragged them out. Gopal was in one of the open jeeps. Rajagopal and Radha sat in his Benz car, and the car started moving. Fifteen minutes later, the car stopped, and Rajagopal signalled for Radha to get out. Getting out, Radha looked around and noticed a familiar car parked a little far from where they stopped. She then noticed the jeep carrying stopped a few feet away. Gopal got down from the jeep. The henchmen dragged Gopal to a spot and dropped him on the floor. They gave him a shovel to dig. Gopal, with the little energy, started digging. 

"Do you know where are we?" asked Rajagopal to Radha.

Radha acted as if she knew nothing.

"This is the place where people say no to me come. But never return."

Radha, in a surprised tone, asked, "What?"

"Yes. I killed them here. Your husband is digging now the grave of the man who said no to me."

Radha went silent as she got what was going to happen to Gopal if she said No. With no ropes tied, she ran to Gopal.

"Please stop digging. They are going to kill you now and bury you here."

"Don't worry about me. I don't want you to be a property to be used by this evil idiot", said Gopal. Rajagopal heard Gopal words and signalled to one of the henchmen. The man hit Gopal in his stomach and asked him to continue digging and stop talking.

"I am going to agree to him. This is going to stop now", said Radha.

"I cannot ask you to do that for my life. I don't want you to lose your self-respect. What is the difference between humans and animals if not self-respect?" said Gopal.

Radha crying her heart out, said, "I cannot let you die when I know I can do something about it."

Gopal said, "I will die eventually one day. But, this man, if he wins today, he will not stop."

Radha ran back to where Rajagopal, "I will fall on your feet. You tell me a cost I will pay anything to get my husband out of this".

"I want you on my bed, not on my feet. Why can't you accept."

"Chi, you disgusting pig", replied Radha. Suddenly there was a big cling sound as if the shovel hit some hard object. Everyone turned to Gopal to see what it was. 

Gopal dug a little more to see what it was. It was a knife stuck into a skeleton. 

Laughing, Rajagopal said, "That is the man I killed when he did not accept. To leave no traces, I buried him with the knife stuck to his back."

Radha and Gopal looked at Rajagopal aghast.

"Now, your options are very simple. Say "Yes" or ", said Rajagopal and started laughing. The henchmen around him too started laughing. Both Radha and Gopal and did not move a little bit. Angered by them, Rajagopal took a knife from one of the henchmen's and went close to Gopal. Keeping the knife to his neck, he said to Radha, "This is your last chance. I will kill him now".

Radha was smiling and said, "What are you going to do?"

Suddenly the henchmen around Rajagopal, who were laughing till now, stopped. Rajagopal did not hear the police siren in all the chaos. Before Rajagopal could react, the police circled the group and arrested Rajagopal.

The beginning

Ramya was a new officer in the department. But she fit the description of the girl they were looking for. Hesitantly Ramakrishna called her into his room. Along with Ramakrishna, there were three officers. 

Ramakrishna started to speak, "We have an important undercover operation. We have found a big businessman who rapes the wives of his employees. There have been many cases, but no one is coming forward in fear. Some of them he silenced by paying them money, and a few of them went missing. Recently we got a case about this harassment. Before we started the enquiry, both wife and husband are missing. We think he killed them. Now, we need to go undercover and catch him in the act."

"What do you want me to do, sir?" asked Ramya.

"We want you to come undercover with me. You can say no. We will understand as this is your first day."

"I am not going to say no, sir. But I need to know why me?"

"You look like the women who went missing. We think he will be interested in you. Again, if you want to say no, I can understand." said Ramakrishna.

"When are we starting, and how do you want me to prepare?" asked Ramya.

"Here are the details of the mission. You read this for few weeks. I will start ahead and get recruited into the company. You can join me after I get a job and rent a house."

"Okay, sir", replied Ramya.

"Don't call me sir. Call me Gopal, and Radha is your name. Get used to it," said Ramakrishna leaving the room.

Epilogue

Ramya(Radha) went to the hospital where Ramakrishna(Gopal) was getting treatment. There were already a group of Ramakrishna's friends and colleagues. She walked in and gave him a salute.

"No formalities here", said Ramakrishna.

Ramya handing a file, said, "Here is the overall report of the undercover operation."

"Okay, I will read. That was a great job Ramya".

"It was your direction, sir. Everything went according to your plan. I was to make sure I did not commit any mistakes."

"No, your intuition to bring the watch out jeep worked to our advantage."

"Thank you, sir."

"I thought he was going to wait a few more days before acting. By the way, how did you signal to the jeep to call the backup."

"I gave him the signal the day before, sir. He can call, only after I run to you once and come back to Rajagopal. "

"That was a good signal."

"Lucky thing was there was a body. I thought Rajagopal was scaring us, and there was no dead body, or worst he forgot the exact location."

"It all worked out. Now with the body and the recording, Rajagopal cannot escape."

P.S.: Rajagopal used the best of the lawyers and got a ten-year sentence. His greed took hold of his common sense. He went to a higher court, which gave him 28 years. Nothing mattered as Rajagopal died in less than 28 days after he started his time in prison. He died because of his old age and a bad heart condition.
