Who Is The Best Teacher?

A Chinese kid named Shifung was having a burning desire of becoming the greatest Karate Champion in the world. He said this to his parents. They were extremely surprised listening to their kid's wish. They tried to make him understand that Karate isn't your cup of tea. The kids in the neighborhood started making fun as soon as they came to know about it, but he was firm on his decision of learning Karate. One night he escaped from his home, and after some days of remaining hungry and wandering in the search of a Guide, he reached the place of a Karate Teacher. When the teacher listened to his wish, even he was surprised because that kid didn't have a left hand. Now how to make a such disabled kid learn Karate? But still looking at his dedication he accepted that he will teach him Karate and his training started the very next day. Alike others, the Teacher taught him how to Kick and told him to practice the same. For some days the kids practiced the kick, now the teacher made other kids except Shifung learn various other kinds of kicking. Now those kids started practicing new kinds of kicks. Shifting went to the teacher and asked him, "Sir, what is the order for me?"

The teacher replied, "Son, carry on practicing the kick which I taught you on the first day." Obeying the order of his teacher he kept on practicing the same kick. In this way, six months passed. The teacher used to teach other kids various other techniques and whenever Shifung used to go to him with a wish to learn new techniques, the teacher used to reply peacefully, "Son, keep on practicing the same kick. You are not perfect in it. Shifting was sure that the teacher is ignoring his wishes, but he was firm, so obeying the order of his teacher he kept on practicing that kick again and again and in the same way, three years passed. On one hand, the Training of all the other kids was done, while on the other Shifung was still practicing the same kick. All the other kids were done with their training, but Shifung was still practicing the same kick. Now at the time interval of three years, a Karate Championship takes place in China. In that many new and old Karate Champions participate. Shifting always dreamt of winning that championship but he knew that he wouldn't be selected for the championship to his surprise, the five disciples that the teacher has chosen also consisted of Shifting. Shifting with extreme surprise went to the teacher and asked him, "Sir, don't add my name by showing mercy on me. I will participate in the Championship after becoming completely capable to participate." The teacher smiled and said, "Dear Shifung, you kindly participate in the competition without any kind of stress. Trust me you are going to be the winner this year."

Shifung was extremely shocked, Still, he kept quiet at that time now it was the day of the competition, and his first match was against the winner of the last time Chyantu both Chyantu and Shifung started fighting. Shifting was sure that he will lose against him, but still, he kept on trying and hit Chyantu with the kick he was practicing for the last 3 years, and to everyone's surprise, with his one kick Chyantu fell down. Shifting was declared the winner of the game. Now Shifting was full of confidence and he started participating in every match with happiness in every match the competitor used to fall down at the very first kick of Shifting. He was the top player of that year. With the prize in his hands, he went to his teacher and bowed down to him with respect, "Sir, how this miracle happened?"

The teacher replied to him, "Son, it was due to your extreme practice. The kick which I taught you on the very first day was a special kind of kick. For learning which people practice a lot. Now, practicing the kick continuously for 3 years you have become an expert in it & now you don't have any other competitor who can face you."

Shifung asked him, "Still Sir, there might be some skill which can affect this kick. Such as if the competitor attacks me with this same kick, then what should I do?"

The teacher said, "At that time you've to catch his left hand."
