Water in the Well

When Sai Baba first came to Shirdi it lacked even the basic facilities. There was a well but the water in it had dried long ago. Water had to be fetched from a distance!

 When Sai Baba gave his permission to the villagers to celebrate the Ram Navami Festival (Baba’s Birthday), the big problem that arised for the organizers was that of the water supply. 

The villagers went to Sai baba for the solution to this problem. Sai Baba said that if they wanted plenty of water, then they should drop it in the well !Saying so Baba gave them a platter of flowers on which some Prasad (blessed food) had been placed along with the remnants of alms which Sai Baba had received earlier in the day. The villagers had no qualms about doing it as they had full faith in their Baba !

 No sooner had that platter of leaves was dropped in the well that the water rose from the bottom as if by divine command and completely filled it! All the people rejoiced and celebrated!
