Value your life ( A note on critical social issue )
It has been observed that of the many suicide cases that take place across the globe, several of them happen due to mental illness and prolonged physical ailments. According to a recent study, suicidal tendencies in the age group of 15 to 29 years have seen an alarming rise.
Depression, too, can drive a person to take this extreme step, but suicide is not the solution. With the right support system and care, one can overcome their issues and lead a happy and healthy life. We should approach such a problem with the greatest caution. As members of a responsible society, it is our duty to watch out people around us and ourselves to identify indications and other help to individuals who show signs of depression or mental agony.
Education institutions and corporate offices too should come forward to educate students and employees, respectively, about the values of healthy living. In today’s fast-paced life, we often take mental well-being for granted. We should devote more time to ourselves, practise yoga to soothe our minds and learn to unplug and unwind.
