Value Of Labour
Value Of Labour
A long time ago, there was a village named Gautamnagar. The people of that village do hard labour to maintain their family. There was an auto driver named Ramanlal, he was very poor but still, he was happy with his family. He lived with his wife named Chanchal and his daughter named Meenakshi.
Meenakshi always dreams of being an IAS officer and always do hard work to fulfil her dream. Ramanlal also does labour to fulfil his daughter's dream. Then gradually after completing the 10th standard Meenakshi wanted to study in a college in Delhi. Ramanlal also does double labour to earn money so, he can do the admission of Meenakshi in a reputed college in Delhi.
Now, Ramanlal drives autorickshaws during the day and also at night. He earned a lot of money and from this money, he did the admission of Meenakshi in a highly reputed college. Meenakshi went to Delhi for her study. Here in Gautamnagar, Ramanlal was driving autorickshaws everywhere. One day he met his friend who also drives autorickshaws, his friend said "Ramanlal you are just everywhere, driving autorickshaws, on roads, on bridges, near markets, near hospitals etc. I want to ask that are you going spoil my business ?" Ramanlal said, "No no I am not going to spoil your business, I am doing extra labour because my daughter wants to be an IAS officer and she is studying in Delhi". His friend said, "What IAS officer, oh ! Ramanlal we poor people can't do anything". At that moment Meenakshi came after giving the exam in Delhi and said "Uncle if we do hard work then we can do anything". After listening to this, also Ramanlal's friend wasn't convinced. Then Ramanlal and Meenakshi went to their home.
In his home, Meenakshi does household works such as cleaning the house, washing utensils etc. Ramanlal sees this and says that you are going to be a collector, why are you doing household works? Meenakshi replied, "I know this but it doesn't mean that if I would be a collector then I won't do any household works and help mother". Ramanlal agreed to his daughter.
Then suddenly the news reporters came into their home and said that "Meenakshi not only became topper in the state also all over India she became first". After listening to this Ramanlal's family was very happy. Then the media reporters asked Meenakshi that "Looking at your family's condition, your family looks poor so how did you get the admission to a highly reputed college in Delhi and how did you and your family manage the expense ? Meenakshi said, "All the credit goes to my parents because they supported me a lot and to get admission in a high reputed college my father worked day and night and earned money, also I studied 12-15 hours, so in all its all about hard work and labour of my family".
When the reporters were asking questions, Ramanlal went to get cotton candy for Meenakshi because she liked it a lot from childhood. When Ramanlal was going on the road two police officers stopped him as they were guarding the road ahead. The police officers said, "You stop because there is an interview going, with the new collector". Then Ramanlal said, "I am the father of Meenakshi, the new collector". The police officers were surprised to see that a man who lived in poverty, worked so hard that her daughter can achieve her goals. They gave the respect that should be given to a great father and then they dropped him at his house. Ramanlal's friend who was saying that we poor people can't do anything came to his house and said that "Meenakshi and Ramanlal you both were correct. If we decide to do something and do it with hard work and labour then we could get success".
Moral- If we do hard work and labour then anything is possible in this world and we can always achieve our goals.
