I went to college. I was doing very well and believe it or not I was living a normal everyday life. I made four friends, and we always went to get food at lunch time. We were living in Orlando Florida and my mindset changed from wanting to go to Disney world to helping tourists enjoy themselves. They would ask me for directions, and I would help them out the best that I could.

Darren would drop me off in the morning and Sabrina my new friend would drop me back off after college because he would be busy working. I didn't mind because that meant that I had more freedom so when Sabrina asked me if I wanted to go out for a couple of hours after class I said yes. I had some money saved up from Darren giving it to me. He thought that I deserved to enjoy my life and would give me a one hundred dollars a week to buy clothes or food and drinks. After college I messaged him using my new phone telling him that I was going for a couple of drinks. I knew that he would reply eventually and went with Sabrina. The two of us had so much in common. We had the same likes and dislikes and understood each other. I didn't tell her much about Darren. I just told her that he was my best friend. I thought that it was hilarious because I had placed him in the friend zone. I didn't want to lose my virginity to him, and I definitely didn't want to get in bed with him sexually or romantically. So that left me open as a single ready to mingle. Darren didn't want us to be in a relationship either, so it was fair game. I didn't ask him who he was dating or having sex with, and he didn't ask me who I had my eye on. Everything was great. Plus, I was eighteen. I knew that I shouldn't have been drinking underage, but I looked old enough and didn't care. Sabrina was twenty-one and I was eighteen.

We had five drinks by the time Darren entered through the door ready to collect me, but he didn't look happy about it. I waved goodbye to Sabrina and walked over to him quickly. I did wonder how he found me because I didn't tell him where I was, but I put it down to my location being on. He grabbed my hand and dragged me through the door.

"Are you fucking insane!"

He shouted in my face, and I leaned my back against the wall as he moved closer to me outside. I had only gone for a couple of drinks. It was harmless fun but to Darren it wasn't.

"Are you that fucked up in the head?" He pressed his fingers against my temple and a shook my head. "No! What's your problem Darren?" I rolled my eyes and he laughed.

"What's my fucking problem. My problem is that you are drinking in a fucking hot spot. Why would you even think about coming here you stupid bitch!"

"It was a couple of drinks Darren!" I rolled my eyes shouting back at him. Darren pointed his finger at me. He was angry.

"Don't say my name out loud. Shut the fuck up."

"Your too uptight." I shook my head. Him and his temper tantrums. He was driving me up the wall with them.

"I'm uptight. You shouldn't be here! The only reason I knew you were here is because I've been fucking working and saw your ass through that pissing window."

"What do you do for work Darren? Your stood here in all black with a pair of black leather gloves on. Are you sure you're not the one I should be avoiding?"

"Yes, I am the one you should be avoiding love." He sighed and rubbed his eyes with his fingers. He tensed up and I couldn't figure out why.

"Get in the car. I will be picking you up from now on."

"No. I'm enjoying myself." Yes, I was being a stubborn bitch and I didn't care. I was standing up for myself against him.

"I said... Get in the fucking car." He screamed at me curling his hands into fists. I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrows.

"No!"

Grabbing my wrist, he dragged me with him and opened up the side door of the van. It was one which had seats where you slide the doors to the side. It had four seats in the back and two in the front with blacked out windows.

"I am not going home!"

"Yes, you are. Sit your ass down."

He stood outside the door with his right foot on the step as I sat down on the seat next to the door. Pulling his gun out he checked how many bullets he had inside it before pushing it back inside his black jeans.

"Your never fun!"

"I am trying to keep you safe. Plus, I don't want a bad name."

"Whatever!"

I turned away from him. His head was too far up his arse. He would never listen to me. It was always about safety this and safety that. He was pissing me off.

"Ahh. I can see you found her."

A man appeared on Darren's left, and he glared at him from the side of his eye. He didn't look amused. The man had blonde hair and wore black the same as Darren.

"Yes, and she's mine now fuck off!"

The man crossed his arms and pouted his lips. I looked him up and down. I didn't like the way that he carried himself. He was creepy in my eyes.

"Not wanting to share?"

"I'll share one of my bullets. You know that I don't share anything else now piss off. Go and sort the bullshit down alley two." Darren told him before climbing inside the van and pulling the door over.

"Down the oven."

He told the man who climbed in the front of the van. I sat there confused. Down the oven? What kind of fucking wording is that? What code? I didn't know but I was going to find out.

"Seat belt."

"Yes Sir." I saluted to Darren who shook his head and took the seat next to me. He was such a crank.
