THE SHADOW OF HALLUCINATION

Sampoorna is very happy today.

She topped her school in ICSE board exams with record-breaking marks. Her school is very proud of her achievement. Her 98 %in class 10 is not only highest in the school but also in the District. The other Higher Secondary Schools are trying to give seats in their school for class 12 but her present school is not ready to ever leave her.Sampoorna's mom is a teacher in a government school. She single-handedly raised her after her divorce, her father settled in Dubai.

Sampoorna is very attached to her mom and her mom is her friend. Sampoorna is pretty introverted, although everyone likes her in school she hardly crossed 80% in school exams.Sampoorna got a message from her mom that she has urgent work at school and she will be late so Sampoorna should have her dinner and sleep. Sampoorna thought that there was no hurry to rush home so she took the long route to reach home. She was not expecting the unexpected turn waiting for her. As soon as she reached home she was surprised to see her mom waiting for her with a big birthday cake. On top of that cake, it was written TOPPER. She was very happy about the surprise her mom arranged for her. Sampoorna hugged her mom in happiness.Once the cake was cut Sampoorna teased her mom asking her, " Are you never bored of this teaching job?. Try going for a date with Robin Sir, I know he loves your company and anyways he has helped you a lot., ". Her mom laughed, " You are becoming devil day by day, I have to teach you a lesson". She held Sampoorna's both hands and hugged her in her arms and started tickling her. Sampoorna was laughing and struggling to get free but her mom grabbed her well secured. Sampoorna was like, " Mom stop please, no noo please. M sorry please" Her mom said, " Devil is pleading". She put some cake cream in her hands and pasted it on her face. Sampoorna hands are locked; she cannot free herself. Her face was well pasted. Her mom said, " Now this is recorded as well in my mobile. It will be live.

Everyone will see how you are cake-faced by your mom!. "In the meantime, the doorbell rang. The Dominos guy came with an extra-large pizza. That night's pizza dinner was awesome. In the meantime phone, calls started showering as everyone is congratulating her for her success. 2 Principals from top High Secondary schools also called her and directly gave offers to join their school. Even a local newspaper requested an interview. Sampoorna is happy and a bit tired as well. She fell asleep with her mom. Sampoorna has a kiddish mentality to sleep with her mom at the age of 16. She is too cute and pampered since birth. She was half asleep when a call came on her mobile at around 12. She knew it must be for her birthday wish and for her result.Sampoorna received the call but the Voice was unclear. It was like, " Congrats beta, .... Happy... You. Sorry cannot come...... 

I  work...... Teacher.......... Long time..... Hope u........ Dinner. " The line was so disturbing Sampoorna had to disconnect the call. The number was unknown. But a message had come from that same number. She opened the message, " Hi! beta congrats on your result. I am Stuck with work here. Cannot come home today. So Happy on your result and Happy Birthday..... Mom. " If mom is at her school who is present with her sleeping next to her. A stream of unknown fear went past her body. She was suffering from sweating even with AC on.She was thinking of jumping out of the bed and running when a cold pair of hands grabbed her waist and a venous smile was heard. "What happened Sampoorna, do not be afraid of me. I watch you from the top every day you return from school. You never took the road which you took today. You are such an adorable girl. That is why I like you. Please do not be afraid just because I am a spirit, I am dead. Let me take you to my world. "Sampoorna tried to jump away but that entity locked her in her arms and put her chin on her neck saying " You are mine now kid. You have to come to my world. I cannot let you go away., hihihihi , ". Sampoorna felt something tied her totally and dragged her into darkness. She fainted. 

Since that incident 4 years have passed. She is studying Medical Studies in India's topmost college. But she has become a robot, no emotion, no feelings, nothing. She hardly talks to anyone. She does all her job. She is afraid inside all the time. Some force, the entity is around her all time. Its presence can be felt. She feels someone breathe on her face, ear, neck, some fingers tickling her waist but she cannot react as surrounding students might think of her as a psychopath. But deep down she knows what's around her, the evil entity is none other but her MOM who died 4 years ago in an accident but Sampoorna was hallucinating her mom's presence all the time, all she thought is her mom is with her all the time which was a hoax. Now she is Back...........
