THE MIDNIGHT STRANGER ( SOUND OF FEAR)

The Inter college girls kabaddi is on in the final minutes. Reeta has played well representing her college and taking to the finals with her defending skills. Her college is just 1 Point ahead of the defending champ St collage. Reeta's physical appearance is nowhere like a sports girl, In fact, she looks like a Model. It's just her kabaddi skills are Great. She has managed to grip the raider girl in her arms and did a tight waist grip and Leg lock. It is just 30 secs left for the final whistle and it's a nail-biting final. The raider is taken Back to be tied by a slim Looking girl and she is struggling to free herself nd touch the line. But Reeta is like fully secured her opponent s hands, legs nd although she is few inches from the line she is Helpless nd Reeta is smiling. The opponent seemed strong but Reeta has captured her. The final whistle blew and it's over. Reeta, s Sarada College is the champion. The raider girl seemed crying as before the start of the kabaddi match she once tried to tease saying look that slim Model Looking girl is here for kabaddi it's funny. Reeta is awarded the best Defender trophy. It's celebration time now. The girls went to a nearby KFC treat sponsored by college management.

Reeta is now returning home. It's already 8:40 and she is waiting at the railway station for boarding the local train. She is very happy today as not only she got recognized for her match-winning performance and the tournament's best Defender trophy but now she is a social media Celebrity. Someone from the audience did shoot her kabaddi in the last minute and released it on social media and YouTube.She called her brother who is a 17-year-old boy ready for the HS exam, supports his elder sister in sports. Reeta told him that she will be late and told him to somehow manage it in the house.

The Lady's compartment was empty. On a weekday it is always filled with mid-aged girls, elderly women, people of every age group till 9 but on Saturdays and Sundays it is just the opposite. Reeta had a fear that if she reached home late her parents would be furious although she had told them that she will be late.

Reeta never felt so Strange as she has been traveling in this route for 5 years since her higher Secondary days. It was a mixed feeling. Maybe she was afraid to be late, alone in the train, tired after a kabaddi final. Although she has happiness in her mind for her achievements. But its almost 9.30 and the train is running. It takes so much time to reach home but today it is seeming longer. Reeta almost fell asleep when she heard the sound of a girl crying. She was a bit Shocked, as she remembered that it was only herself in the compartment alone how can someone else come. She gathered courage and walked towards the door of the compartment. It was pitch dark outside. The train is running fast. In the dim light inside the train Reeta can See a girl Standing at the edge of the train. She is just half an inch from falling outside the train. Reeta realized that this girl might be trying to end her life. Reeta realized that Standing still will not help and she is about to witness something horrible. Reeta did not make a sound, slowly went close to that girl who was just at the edge. Reeta grabbed her suddenly by her waist and pulled her away from the door. The girl tried to free herself but Reeta Hugged her in a strong grip and secured her. Reeta took the hands of that girl behind her back and tied them with her dupatta. Now that girl cannot commit suicide. The girl was crying, let me go please, do not stop me. She struggled but no escape. In the end the girl looked at Reeta and told, " I am Finally freed, you will bear what is waiting. You cannot hide, you cannot escape. " When the station arrived Reeta contacted the local authorities and handed over the girl and left quickly.

Reeta stayed in the railway colony of Durga Nagar, walking distance is 40 mins which she decided to walk rather than Looking for a rickshaw. By this late night, it was always tough to get one. Reeta accelerated and started walking fast. It was dark and no human being was seen around except a few Dogs. A black Cat suddenly crossed her road. She was startled and taken aback. It was not a good sign that too in this hour. The sky was windy and the weather in Cloudy and Rain was about to pour in. Reeta kept walking only she realizes she is not alone. A Strange fear is now around her. She can feel some force is around her. It can breathe, Reeta can feel it, s breathing on her shoulder. She felt that someone, s chin was touching her neck from behind. It is really scary. Reeta is a brave girl but this experience is enough to give a weak-hearted person panic or heart attack. Reeta tried to shout but her Voice choked inside her throat. A hand has grabbed her waist and she seemed to be gagged by some invisible force. Her breath is choked as a hand has covered her mouth. All she can feel is the dangling sound of earrings from her back. Reeta felt unconscious. Her eyes Opened in her house where she could see her brother, dad, mom Looking at her. Reeta was lying senseless on the road when few neighbors luckily saw her and informed her family. Reeta did not say anything, she just closed her eyes once again. All she did was picked up her mobile and texted something and again went to sleep. She does not want to speak a word. She does not feel like going outside her house. Something is there outside, waiting for her. Yesterday night before she became unconscious she heard a whisper in her ears when actually there was no one around. " Your body is now mine, slowly you will give your soul to me. You cannot escape. "

Reeta's sleep was broken as she heard her brother arrived. Reeta stood up and went to wash her face. Once she is done Reeta saw her brother sitting in the chair of their Dining Hall. He looked at her and said, " I got what you asked for. " Reeta saw a parcel kept on the table. Reeta seemed to be in life again, calmly Opened the parcel and took out a Hanuman Chalisa and a Locket of Maa Durga. She wore the Locket and took the book and went inside her room and started reading the slokas. While reading she just for a moment looked at the Mirror the scene which she saw might have turned her Blue but her courage prevented her from losing her senses. She saw a girl standing behind her, her dress was a bit Strange looked like the ones who work in red areas. Her eyes were red, her face was pale white and her body was semi-visible. All she had is anger, hatred in her eyes. But she cannot touch Reeta who has the power of holy power, power of God. That evil shape disappeared.

5 years have passed since that paranormal incident occurred. Reeta is now a state govt employee, her brother is returning home today after Completing BTech. He has to join an MNC in Hyderabad in 2 weeks after he got placed from his engineering college. Reeta called her brother but his mobile was busy. Reeta texted him saying where are you. A reply came, Didi no worries I will reach home as soon as possible. I will take the 8:40 local train and reach home. Reeta just saw that his brother went offline...........
