THE HILL

 Once In a small town lived two children named Swati and Ashok. Swati Was twelve years old and Ashok her little brother was seven years old.

One windy afternoon, There mother told Swati to get some vegetables. She gave her fifty rupees and told her to come before sunset.

Swati was off to the supermarket but then came the Scary moment. She had to pass the hill which was really scary looking covered with lichens and moss. There was a shed on top with spider webs and Broken Floorboards.

Swati took a deep breathe and started walking up the hill. She remembered everything her friends had told her about the shed. They told her whoever dares to step in that shed will never be found again and you are not allowed to go there after sunset or before sunrise. Swati thought that this all is nonsense and there is nothing like ghosts. 

Meanwhile she reached the supermarket. She took the veggies and Took a pencil for Ashok and some Marbles for herself. Then she went to her grandma’s house which was in a small town after that hill. Her grandma was happy to see her and served her some tea. They both began talking and time passed. Swati took a look and the clock and it was going to be Sunset in five minutes. Swati got up and told bye to her old granny and took the stuff and started running as fast as she could.

She kept on running and then it started raining heavily. She reached the hill and it was raining really heavily. Swati had no option and she entered the Shed. Water was dripping from her hair and she was socked in water. She was really afraid but she was left with no option. It was seven-thirty at night and sunset had passed. A thick layer of fog covered the hill and in seconds nothing could be seen. After that it started thundering and the light fell on the shed’s wall and Swati saw a little girl playing. Swati got really scared and got up and began running in the foggy atmosphere. After that she heard someone call her name “Swati! Swati where are you?”. Swati immediately recognized the voice. It was her brother Ashok. Swati started calling in a happy voice “Ashok I am here!!”. Ashok and Swati both dashed into each other and fell with a thud and started laughing. 

Ashok told “ Why are you so late? Mom told me to come to find you on this scary hill”. I’m Sorry Ashok said Swati in a sad voice. It alright now lets go home replied Ashok. Swati Began Walking with Ashok while Ashok told her the story he had heard from his friend about the shed. He told that a little girl lived there with her parents and on a stormy night the shed’s roof fell off and killed them. From that day that little girl’s soul roams on that hill. Swati immediately thought that the girl’s shadow she had seen in the shed was her. Then Swati heard a noise of a little girl saying “Goodbye I will See you again”. Swati asked Ashok can u hear that? Ashok replied it might be my tummy. She immediately understood that she could only hear the voice. Again the little girl said “Goodbye”….

Swati got a bit afraid but tried not to look in front of Ashok.
