The Golden Mirror - World Connector

Cold World
Maharaj appeared in the Cold World out of nowhere. He looked at himself and was surprised to see the king's outfit that had draped his body. He had no idea where he was coming from and his history. The glittering attire made him believe that he was a king before so he decided to sell himself as the king to the people of this world. One boy nudged him from behind, "Are you a magician?"
"I am a king," he said.
"Have you escaped from a zoo or what?" the boy stifled his smile.
"Can't you see my shimmering outfit? I am the king and you should obey my orders. All hail king! Bow me in respect."
The boy broke into hilarious laughter before punching him in the back. "All throw stones at this insane man," he ran away.
Maharaj began to wander without any identity and whoever met him only made him a laughing stock without taking his words seriously. He couldn't comprehend the purpose of his unprecedented visit to a new world which relentlessly clung coolness into his bones. As he scurried along a deserted terrain, he happened to hear the roar of a tiger so he overlooked the sinkhole which consumed him. The dark cave with occasional lights did not do good to increase his visibility. He could detect a light which scourged at an effigy of a woman. He went circle around the effigy before standing opposite its face. Out of nowhere, he heard the hissing sound of a snake which made him swivel behind. A long yellow snake had extended its hood at him all set to strike him viciously. He took a step behind which made him come in contact with the effigy; to his astonishment, it converted into a beautiful woman. A sense of gratitude hovered over her countenance as she fell at his feet to seek his blessings. Maharaj couldn't fathom what was happening in the dark cave.
"I just can't believe it! How did you turn into a woman?" he asked in curiosity.
"I am Madhumika. I am the queen of the Cold World. I have been a ruthless queen who harmed the citizens of this world. I hurled my atrocity across the world killing many innocent people."
Maharaj didn't take his eyes off her as if he was watching a suspense thriller movie which consumed all his attention.
"Perhaps, my karma got the better of me as I got dragged into this dark cave. A powerful seer in this cave cursed me to become an effigy for all my wicked deeds. He also specified that only a person from another world can breathe life back into me," she said. "I have served my punishment and I believe you are from a different world so you possessed the licence to get me back to life. I shall forever be indebted to you. From here onwards, I will forsake my evil personality and don compassionate and virtuous demeanour for the betterment of my people."
Maharaj looked astounded upon hearing her side of the story. "How do we get out of this cave?"
"We shall seek the blessings of the seer who has been blessed by the almighty to be immortal. He spends all his life in deep meditation. He is the only one who can guide us out here," she said.
They squeezed through a hole to meet a seer who blessed them and created a ladder that led them out of the cave. Madhumika had her house key in her pocket and she took Maharaj to her luxurious mansion which was now draped in spider webs. She opened the door and invited him in. The big mansion glittered with gold and had multiple rooms which housed tons of gold coins and jewellery reflecting the richness of Madhuamika. She had amassed abundant wealth through her wicked deeds and now she pledged to use the same for the betterment of the people. She warned him not to open a secret room which could potentially disappear the person from this Cold world. The image of the secret room door continued to linger in his mind and he eventually gave in to its urge. When Madhumika was not around, he decided to give it a shot to check what was there inside the secret room. Could he be able to revive his history if he could usher himself into the room? The desperation got the better of him as he strode towards the door and unlocked it. The magnificent aura generated by the room seemed to capture his attention. He detected a golden mirror which was hung on a nail that was pinned to the wall. He looked himself in the mirror before pressing his palm in the centre of the mirror. Subsequently, the golden mirror fell and broke to direct him to the new world which was called "Rain World"
Rain World
The moment Maharaj landed on the rain world, his life history got pressed back into his memory to trigger a sense of anger in him. The dissonance of his minister continued to haunt him as he feared the worst for his family and people who were now in control of his minister Baburam.
Fire World
Maharaj was a supreme king who was treated as a God by his courtiers and the people of Fire World. He through his relentless valour and virtuosity had won the hearts of the people. He got hitched by a beautiful queen Mrunali and they bore a child named Gavunka. His main minister Baburam always praised the king for his bravery but there was invisible deceit behind the facade of his humble nature. No one could discern his dissonance. The King had ordered the ministers and everyone in the world not to usher into one of his rooms that had a powerful golden mirror that if broken could land anyone into a different world. No one had any perspective about the different world and they deemed it to be a bad omen to enter the room leave alone break the mirror. Baburam had the support of some corrupted ministers whom he promised a luxurious life if they obey his orders.
One day, the king overheard the conversation between the corrupted ministers.
"It's absurd that the valiant king is still unable to see the true colours of Baburam. I believe the minister is the most brilliant man in this world and it is wise on our part to support him because his devious plans always bear fruits. I can enjoy the luxury he would offer us once he gets rid of the king. Hats off to his confidence and courage to eliminate the king and make his family his perennial slaves. I feel so sad for the king whose death countdown has begun."
The infuriated king decided to confront Baburam for his treachery. He thought of tearing out the humble camouflage he had donned to win the hearts of the people. As he strode along the corridor, he was taken aback to see the banned room being opened and there seemed to be someone inside. The King lost his patience and decided to behead the person who breached the rule and barged inside the room. Baburam who was waiting for the arrival of the king used the fleeting second to his advantage and tossed the golden mirror that he was carrying at the king. Unfortunately, the mirror kissed the king before falling thud on the floor to break itself into million pieces. In a jiffy, the king got transported to the other world which was none other than the Cold World itself where he planned an instrumental role in bringing back the life of Madhyamika. The savage Baburam carried out despicable and reprehensible acts following the king's departure from the fire world. All good ministers were killed mercilessly and the bad ones were anointed as powerful ministers. The peace in the world had been breached and the world worke
d akin to a flawed algorithm that promoted bigotry and viciousness. Those who offended the new king were chopped off their heads and the ones who toed his lines and agreed to be subservient to his orders, gained all luxury. He propagated cruelty which was normalized and garlanded whereas peace and love evaporated into oblivion. Maharaj's wife and children found a place in a dark room which threatened to depress them.
Rain World
Maharaj was desperate to find a golden mirror which was his last hope to travel back to his original world to save his family and people. But where is the golden mirror? He wandered around a forest area in search of the golden mirror. On his journey, he happened to see a sage who had materialized on a pile of leaves with consecrated beads in his right hand. He believed the sage could steer his way towards the golden mirror so he prostrated before the spiritual guru who wore a godly smile on his face.
There are three worlds in this universe. The Fire World is dominated by summer. The Cold World is dominated by winter and last but not least The Rain World is dominated by rain. All these three worlds are alienated between themselves and the only object which would help to traverse between these worlds is the golden mirror. The one who breaks the golden mirror will find a place in a different world. Each world has one golden mirror and once it is broken it can't be repaired back. Maharaj accidentally broke the golden mirror in the fire world courtesy of Baburam and he again broke the golden mirror in the Cold World. So now these two worlds are deprived of the golden mirror and there is one in the Rain world which has to be broken to get transported to the other world.
Through telepathy, Maharaj assimilated the thoughts of the sage about the three worlds. The sage accorded him a powerful weapon which if used in the fire world, can help him to regain his kingdom back. All he has to do is to invoke the fire God(Om, Agni Deva) before wielding the weapon at his enemies who would die instantly. There was a catch as far as using the powerful weapon was concerned. It is of no use in other worlds except for the fire world. If it comes in contact with the ground or earth, the magnetic force would quart all its power rendering it useless. So the sage asked him to use the weapon wisely and also told him he had no idea about the golden mirror. Maybe the circumstances would lead him towards the golden mirror. At the time of breaking the golden mirror, the weapon should be in contact with his body or else he would not be able to carry it to the fire world. After he sought the blessings of the sage, he left in pursuit of the golden mirror with the weapon in his hand. When he crossed the river, he could hearken to the strange voice which emanated from the earth. Curiosity got the better of him as he dug the earth; he looked ecstatic which was a testament to the fulfilment of his hankering which was to find the mirror. He picked up the golden mirror, closed his eyes and dropped it dreaming that he would revert to his original world but his joy receded the moment he opened his eyes. A mentally ill person had caught the mirror which was on its way to breaking itself. Anxiety seeped from his brain as the person began to run with the mirror if broken would send the mentally ill person to the fire world. The overwhelming thoughts of not seeing his family and his people knocked his brain cold. The disturbed person offered him a chance to get back his mirror. All he had to do was to abandon his weapon and get back the mirror. Maharaj knew the significance of the weapon but in his urge to reunite with his family, its significance paled in comparison. He accepted the offer and stretched out his hand to give the potent weapon. The disturbed person immediately pulled the weapon towards his chest but refused to give back the mirror thereby breaking his promise. Maharaj felt stupid to have trusted the disturbed person who seemed to have lost in his insane world. His polite requests had no takers as the mad man threw both the powerful objects up in the air. Without an iota of doubt or hesitation, Maharaj sprinted towards the mirror and finally managed to grab it in his arms thereby averting the madman from jumping into the fire world. He cried thinking that the power of the weapon got consumed by the earth rendering him powerless when he slips into the fire world. Nonetheless, he was happy to get back to his birth land. Out of curiosity, he swung behind to see what had happened to the weapon, to his colossal luck the weapon had stuck to the throat of the mad man rendering him senseless but still not in contact with the earth. The mad man who was creating a ruckus in the world breathed his last. Subsequently, Maharaj pulled the weapon and dropped the mirror with his countenance dripping ecstasy. He transported himself into the fire world.
Fire World
Some of the stooges of Baburam felt shivers down their spines following Maharaj's arrival in his motherland. It didn't take much time for the news to go viral in the fire world. Those who tried to attack the real king lost their lives thanks to the potent weapon which came to his aid. Baburam roared in anger upon hearing the bitter news and he banged his fist on the stranded wall which reflected his frustration. He strongly believed Maharaj was gone for good but wasn't prepared for his fierce return. His colossal army lost its steam since they couldn't guard the treacherous king who was on a massacre spree ever since the disappearance of Maharaj. Mrunali and Gavunka who were reeling under the brutality of Baburam felt relieved in the wake of the king's arrival. Their curse had brimmed and it was time for Baburam to eat the poisonous seeds he had sowed for himself. He had no other option but to find a way to snatch the potent weapon that the real king was using with ease. Maharaj managed to kill all his enemies and freed his family from the brink of disaster while his once trustworthy minister wondered how he could piggyback on a weapon which did the bulk of his job. Baburam and Maharaj confronted each other against the backdrop of a massive shimmering kingdom.
"I apologize for my wicked deeds. Someone had cast a dark spell on me which persuaded me to embrace atrocities. Your return has terminated the evil in me. I am willing to relinquish my throne to you. Please accept me as your minister."
Someone from behind kicked Maharaj in his back and a weapon loosened from his hand only to find a place in his enemy's hand.
"Are you tricked by my dissonance? I don't care about you and your people. The only thing I lust about is the wealth and the power which comes from it. The rest of it is insignificant to me. I will use the same weapon which you used to kill my guards. It's time to taste your own medicine."
Before he could invoke the fire God, the ridge of the sword penetrated through his back and stuck out in the front to drip blood. Mrunali had indeed killed the savage beast that had caused nightmares to her and her children. Baburam fell thud on the ground and the weapon in his hand came in contact with the earth to lose its potency. The family reunited and the real king Maharaj was reinstated much to the relief and happiness of the people of the fire world.
