THE GIFTED LOVE

Note: This story was written partially from my own friend Mathivanan's life. Other part of this story was based loosely from Covid-19 Pandemic times. I have took a change in my genre, after working on the Crime-Thriller Cyber.

11:17 PM, 31 MAY 2018:

Around 11:17 PM in the dark sky of that night in the hostel, a dejected Aravinth sits across the corridor of his house and thinks about his horrible mistakes, that he have done by looking around the places.

His close friend Sai Adhithya in black suits and blue jeans pants, with a cup of coffee in his hands comes near to him and tells, "Buddy."

But, Aravinth remained silent and didn't hear his words.

"Hey buddy."

Having heard the loud words, Aravinth comes back to his senses by having a glimpse over the face of Sai Adhithya through his thick blue eyes.

"Haa Adhi. Come da. When did you came here da? I forgot!" Aravinth said to him.

"What happened to you da, buddy?"

"Nothing da. I am fine."

"No buddy. You was thinking about something. I observed you, while coming. Tell me, what happened da?"

After a moment of silence, Aravinth tells him: "Today is a special day for me da, buddy."

"For that, why are you upset da buddy?"

Aravinth replies, "Because this was the day, I proposed my love to Harshini da buddy."

Adhithya seemingly looked like laughing and tells him, "Buddy. Are you still more thinking about your first love ah, da? Hey. You see. Years have gone man. Now you are in the final year of the college as a post-graduate student studying Cardiac Surgery."

He implies him that, things and situation have changed a lot. But, Aravinth tells him to recall those school days of their life, after which Adhithya remains silent by tightening his mouth. He chuckled.

FEW YEARS AGO: 2015- THE INDIAN PUBLIC SCHOOL, COIMBATORE:

Few years ago exactly in the year of 2015, Aravinth and Adhithya were bright school students of a popular CBSE school named The Indian Public School(popularly known as TIPS). The two are from rich family background.

Aravinth's grandfather Ramakrishnan owns a chain of restaurants and industries across Coimbatore and Palakkad respectively. He is a man under the age of 74 years and is healthy. Since, Aravinth's parents passed away through an accident, it was his grandfather who raised him up since childhood days.

On the other hand, Adhithya is the son of a Orthopedic surgeon named Doctor Raghunandan, who owns a center in and around Coimbatore. His mother passed away after he born. Hence, to shun away this kind of a problem, his father chides him with a lots of love and affection. Further, taughting him the moral values and ethical lifestyle.

It is their fresh journey as a new student in the TIPS, having finished their successful journey of PreKG to 10th in the Suguna International School of Coimbatore district. Adhithya and Aravinth are thickest friends since childhood days. They fight, talk and have close relationships.

SOME DAYS BEFORE: SUGUNA SCHOOLS-

Aravinth have gone to his house for several times, where he studied together, slept together and gone together for various places under the insistence of his grandfather. He tells to his companion and other well-wishers that, "The friend indeed is a friend of the self by which the self can be subdued and the self indeed is the foe of one unsubdued. We would be close and no one can separate us by any means."

Aravinth is good at academics as well as sports. But, he gives lots and lots of importance to other types of activities too instead of focusing on just one type of activities. Some notable things are like writing stories, essays, articles and poems in order to keep his mind, stay focussed forever.

However, Sai Adhithya is polar opposite to Aravinth. He is good at academics and a master in Basketball and Tennis. However, he is not interested to other activities and is a mere bookworm. In addition, he always loves to have fun, lead a happy-go-lucky life. Unike Aravinth, he never likes any girls and is a misogynist.

PRESENT:

The entrance of TIPS have a security on the either sides of the gate. A straight road goes from the entrance of the gate. The road is meant for the vehicles most notably: Two wheelers, Four wheelers and Heavy Vehicles. Several students in blue-black uniform is seen walking in the either sides of the school.

Seeing the Office room to the right corner of the school side, Aravinth and Adhithya goes along with Ramakrishnan and Raghu in order to pay their school fees. After paying the fees, the guys goes towards their class through the upstairs and are very happier to see their classroom.

It's a broad room, consisting of a green board to the right side and a project board in the left side of the wall. Windows are there to the either side of the room. To the other side of the room, switches for Fan and lights are there.

"Hi guys. Are you new to the class?" One of the student in the class asked Adhithya and Aravinth.

"Haa, Yes friend." The guys replied him.

"What's your respective name guys?" The boy asked him.

"My name is Aravinth."

"My name is Sai Adhithya."

After a few seconds, the boy introduced himself.

"Ok. Myself I am Darshan Suryaprakash from Thondamuthur guys." He said and gave his hands for shaken.

The guys shaked his hands and entered inside the class. All the teachers introduced their name and didn't take any sort of lectures and classes. This bored the students a lot. Only period that was useful to these guys were the Library session.

Five people were absent in the school due to some unknown reasons. Their class teacher noted down the absentees writing as: Varshini, Dharun, Ram, Abdul Malik and Anbu respectively.

ONE YEAR LATER- APRIL 30, 2021:

Adhithya and Aravinth got settled in a year with their friends in the school. Now, they are in 12th grade in their very first term. Since they both willingly chose Biology group. Both initially struggled a lot in doing theories and practicals. But, later got improved and studied well.

Because, Aravinth was helped by his classmate Varshini. Varshini is a type of girl, who is always smart and knows how to handle tougher situations. She is a pretty-looking girl, with thick black eyes, attracting white-face and browny lips. She wears a blue-coloured steel-rimmed spectacles.

She helped Aravinth in studies with her kind-gestures, loving and sweet voice. Initially, Adhithya became possessive and angered upon seeing this. However, he later calms down and allows her to talk with him.

Because, he also studied well with her help. Soon they all became close friends. Aravinth's good nature, affectionate words and good character records impresses Varshini, a lot. In addition, she gets motivated upon seeing his close bond of friendship with Adhithya, who is sensitive at times being a motherless boy.

Today is Varshini's birthday. She have arranged a birthday party with the consent of her parents. Among the friends whom she invited to the birthday party, she have invited only Aravinth and Adhithya. Rest all are only girls.

Her friends presents her the gifts like necklace, barker pen, lipsticks, Notebook and Papers. After her friends gifted her all these things, Adhithya and Aravinth proceeded to go. But, stops in between.

Because her family is giving her gifts, which took fifteen minutes. Aftermath of that, they both goes there. Adhithya gives her a novel called, "Harry Potter."

"Why this gift you gave to me Adhi?"

"Some of your friends from previous schools in TIPS have told me that, you like to read a lots of books and novels. That's why I bought this to you. Because, you love this book a lot itseems."

"Oh. Thanks a lot. It's a greatest gift that I have ever got."

"Buddy. Greatest gift itseems." Adhithya wantedly teased Aravinth by showcasing a shower of laughter. Aravinth hits his leg by chuckling his mouth.

"Aravinth. What gift are you going to present me in this birthday da?"

Aravinth shows her a blue coloured diary, which have beautiful flowers around it. He gives this to her telling, "This is my pleasant gift for your  birthday, Varshini. More than the books, more than the pen, pencil, lipsticks, etc. this is one of my sweetest gift." He gives it to her by kneeling down.

Varshini takes it and after a few minutes, she tells to Aravinth: "Aravinth. Do you remember a cultural event that was conducted, before one year by our school?"

"Yes. I very well remember Varshini. Why?"

"There, you sang the song 'Tum Hi ho.' It mesmerized my heart, you know. I felt like falling in love with your voice. It was such a sweet and glimpse voice da. Slowly, I liked your good nature very soon. I think, I love you."

Aravinth becomes puzzled and stunned upon hearing this from Varshini. Aftera while of silence, he tells her: "Varshini. I, you and Adhithya are close friends. Infact, I considered you as a best friend like Sai Adhithya. You have suddenly proposed your love like this. That's not a mistake pa. But, I have to get sometime to think."

"No problem Aravinth. You take your own time and think about this. I will wait for you." Varshini said and left the place.

Adhithya is however shocked and left hijacked with this kind of situation. He feels concerned and threatened about Aravinth. Due to some sort of anger and misunderstanding that's running in the mind of Adhithya, he avoids talking with Aravinth and continuously hangs off his calls and refuses to speak with him for more than four month.

Due to the preceeding exams and work pressures, Aravinth too forgets the same and he have now started to love Varshini madly, forgetting about Adhithya. The main reason to which, Adhithya became irritated and anger with Aravinth is that, "He have under-estimated his value by telling that, Varshini was his motivator and inspiration in all corners."

This created a sort of conflict and misunderstanding in his mind. He assumed himself telling: "So. I have became no matter for Aravinth, as he have started to flirt with Varshini. Then for what sort of reasons, should I talk with him?"

TEN DAYS LATER, 1:00 PM:

After a lots of stressful works and pressures, Aravinth becomes freed. It's totally Ten days. He realizes that Adhithya haven't even spoke with him for several months after getting involved with studies and sports respectively. Henceforth, he goes to see him in the class.

Adhithya is eating lunch along with his recent close friends Vijey Abinesh(who studied with him in the school days and is his mentor like Aravinth), Raagul Roshan(85-kilos weight guy and another close friend) and Rajiv Roshan(Raagul's twin brother).

"Adhithya. How are you da? I have forgot to speak with you for so many days due to the work pressures. You could have atleast spoke with me right?" Aravinth said.

"No da buddy. I have became busy with works. That's why!" Adhithya said, with little let down voice.

"Why is your voice low da buddy? Any problems?"

"Nothing da Aravinth. I have lots of works to go on. Please move." Adhithya said and goes away from the place. Aravinth is surprised with this. Even Abinesh, Raagul Roshan and Rajiv are shocked with this.

"Hey. What happened between you both da? Why is he going like this?" Raagul asked him.
"How could I know da? For ten days, we both didn't even speak due to some workloads."

Abinesh then asked him, "Really the workloads only made you not to speak with him ah da? Haa! Promise and tell."

Aravinth shows a sign of expressions and takes him outside the class.

"Abinesh. Why did you shout like that da? They could have doubted me, you know! It could be a huge embarrassing moment for me."

Abinesh holded his hands and takes him to the place, where Adhithya sat lonely by wandering around the skies.

"Did you see him da? Since childhood days, you both were close friends. But, suddenly as a girl came in between you both, you forgot him. While, he have became like this. He is not even happier da like previous days. You know! He grew up without having mother's love and affection buddy. But, he felt happier that you gave him those things. But, you have left him as such, without noticing him. That's why he is like such. You won't even get a good friend like him, wherever you go and search in this world. See to it. Bye da."

Aravinth recalls the memories of their childhood, where he and Adhithya have cycled together and walked together. Henceforth, he goes near to him and tells, "Buddy."

Adhithya remains silent.

"Adhithya."

"Dei Adhi."

He turns to him and an emotional Aravinth hugs him crying.

"I am sorry da Buddy. I have avoided you in the amidst of Varshini da."

"That's Okay buddy. I tried to say some guiding advices to you, as you fell for her. But, you wasn't even ready to hear my words. That's why I took this kind of a dastardly step. I only have to ask you sorry da."

He accepts and Adhithya tells him, "Buddy. You see. This age between 13-19 is one of our most crucial part da. We have lots of memorable moments, good friends and good refreshing kind of moments. There are lots to see in our life da. In this age, should we need love? And do you think this as love? It's just an infatuation da buddy. You could forgot it after several days. When you attain a particular age, you would get a beautiful and good girl da. You have to achieve many more things in your life da. And think about your grandpa da. He believes me blindly and further, trusts you a lot. If he asks me about these things, what kind of answers could I give him? Think about my situation too da. I told you as a good friend. Rest is your's own decision. Bye da. Time for me to take a leave."

For two days, Aravinth thinks about the words told by Adhithya and he realizes those words to be true. Henceforth, he breaks up with Varshini formally and both parts away in their respective journey.

The main reason however is that, Varshini's parents and her 24 year old uncle Akhilesh have learned about her love and warned her about it. Hence, she too have broke up her love with Aravinth.

PRESENT, 6:30 AM:

At present, Aravinth wakes up from his bed and he realizes that the time have now became 6:30 AM. Sai Adhithya and Aravinth got changed totally after entering into the APG College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore. They learned how to be successful in life, how to be happier in life, how to enjoy our life and how to lead a peaceful life, through various mode of activities. Notably cultural programmes, annual celebrations, music, social services, etc.

A RECALL OF HIS COLLEGE DAYS:

Adhithya have changed his possessive kind of character and have now became a care-taking and responsible guy. The guys have finished their course in MBBS and are now pursuing their post-graduation course of Cardio Surgery, as told previously.

Aravinth is now having another close friend named Rashmika. She is hailing from R.S.Puram of Coimbatore district, belonging to the community of Brahmin. Her father Narayana Sastry is an employee working in a reputed private company of Coimbatore. Her elder sister Yazhini got married before one year ago and she got settled in Bangalore.

Aravinth didn't move that closer to her so easily. Since, the past days with Varshini continuously reminded him off again and again. The break-up visuals and the selfish reasons, that she told him came to his head and it halted him to go and talk with her.

In the initial circumstances, Aravinth distanced himself from her and refused to talk with her despite being convinced by Adhithya, who again felt concerned about this change of behavior in Aravinth. However, a few days later Aravinth eventually accepts the fate and goes bravely to talk with Rashmika.

Her happy-go-lucky attitude, care-taking nature and bold mindset really impressed Aravinth, a lot. Additionally, she shed tears and told Aravinth, "Aravinth. My mother died of heart attack before few years ago. My father only raised me up, after that. No one learned my mindset, except my father. Only few friends understood about me. I came to know that, you and Adhithya are close friends. Will you lend me your hand of support by being a friend with me?"

After seeing the pleasing looks of Adhithya, he eventually accepts her friendship and prays to the God telling, "I shouldn't fall in love with any more girl, God. Let this journey be peaceful."

Adhithya tells him, "Don't worry buddy. Nothing like such would happen."

PRESENT:

To refresh his stressful mindset, Aravinth sits down near to the corridor of the college canteen and plays a piano by looking into the sky. At that time, he sees Rashmika coming towards him angrily.

Since, Adhithya have been smoking a cigarette. With her red eyes and chuckled mouth, she asks to Aravinth, "Aravinth. Will you be this much irresponsible? See how your close friend is spoiling his health by smoking the cigar. Many people are creating awareness about smoking. While your friend is happily doing this. What kind of message are you giving to this society?"

Adhithya calms her down and apologizes to her. He tells her by promising, "See Rashmika. Hereafter, I won't smoke single cigar. It's a promise from this brother. Ok vaa?"

"Last warning I give you brother. Hmm." Rashmi leaves from the place. After a while, Aravinth notices the cigarette and realizes that, it doesn't even have the light fire.

He asks to Adhithya, "Didn't you light it da?"

"That's impossible da buddy. Because, I have gave up cigarette smoking and little alcohol consumption, a several days ago. It's bad for our health and fitness, right!"

"Then, why did you do this act da?"

"All for your sake only, buddy. See how she is care-taking and affectionate da. This is called Love. I don't trust much about Love da. But, I trust on God. As I told you, a beautiful girl came like Varshini right!" Adhithya said to himself as a mind voice in his mind.

"Simply only buddy. Just for fun." Adhithya said to him.

"Senseless fellow. Doesn't you know where to play fun." Aravinth said laughing at him. Simultaneously he tapped his lap.

THREE DAYS LATER, BEFORE THE FINAL SEMESTER EXAMS:

Three days later before the semester exams, Rashmika decides to propose her love to Aravinth taking a leave from her rental house. She have hidden this for the past two years. Yes. Rashmika fell in love with Aravinth eventually due to his good nature and mesmerizing voice. In addition, he have supported her at every moment and every place, especially when she often landed into troubles and problems.

He have filled the place of her mother, by his affectionate nature. Rashmika is now in the cloud nine having joy and happiness around her face. She have wore a red chuditar and to make her head cool, she have let her hairs down as such without tying it with ribbon.

As she is about to leave the place, her roommate Shivani calls out her name. She looks at her by saying, "Yes Shivani. Tell."

"Where are you going, Rashmi?"

"I am going to meet Aravinth di. I told you already right."

"Yeah. You told me right. I forgot. All the best di. Propose your love without making any gaps in between."

She nods her head and goes out from the room. She calls Aravinth and asked him, "Aravinth. Where are you da?"

"I...I am in Adhithya's house only, Rashmi. Why?"

"Shall we both meet?"

"Haa yes...Where shall we meet Rashmi?"

"Hmm...Chillum Cafe..."

"Ok ok...I will come there by ten minutes."

He takes a leave from Adhithya's house and reaches there. While Rashmi sits in the chair of the Cafe, dreaming about her love by closing her eyes. While Aravinth reaches the place and meets her.

"Why did you called me here Rashmi? Anything very important?"

"Yes Aravinth. I have to talk with you. That's why I called you."

"Hmm....Okay..."

"Okay...what do you want? Tea, Coffee, Buttermilk, or any other thing?" Pooja asked him.

"Anything is okay for me Rashmi."

She orders a cup of coffee to the waiter and waits for five minutes, until leaves from the place. Then, Aravinth opens up to her telling: "Exams are nearing in a few days. I am so tensed. I don't know where to start from. Thankfully, I have your notes, orelse God could have saved me. You tell me, what happened? You said you wanted to talk about something?"

"Yes. Actually I have been wanting to talk about this since a long time. But I could not master up the courage to speak about it."

Since the waiter came in between to give the coffee, Rashmi stops the conversation in between. After he left the place, Arvainth and Rashmi smells the hot coffee through their nose. Aravinth took his mouth close to the glass and he sipped the coffee slowly.

"Rashmi. You were saying something na!" Aravinth said slurping in his second sip of the coffee.

"Aravinth. Do you remember our Fourth year annual Cultural programmes?" where you played the song "Siragugal" from Yuvan Shankar Raja's music album?" She asked him by sipping the coffee.

Aravinth nodded his head while sipping his coffee.

"The song that you played with emotions melted my heart a lot. Your natural voice made me to get addicted with that song. The way your fingers moved around the guitar in sync with your lips when you sang it was no words to say. It was just awesome, you know! The rhythm to your music matched the rhythm of my heartbeats. I eventually fell for you. Infact, I never felt this kind of close bonding with other boys. But, I felt it through you Aravinth. I adore you a lot, the way you care for me, the way you get angry on me, and all the times that you can make me fall in love with you again with your sweet little gestures. Any girl would feel lucky to have a boy like you in her life. I have always been in love with you, Aravinth, right from the night of the concert. But I could never say it to you. Days from now, we could have our final post-graduation exams and then I don't even know if I would be continuing my internship from here. With a lots of courage I decided to open my heart infront of you today."

"I love you Aravinth and I will love you, eternity!"

All this while, Rashmi's heart was in extreme happiness, pacing like a river and she looked down into the cup, the tea which had become cold and lost its taste by now.

When she finally looked up, Aravinth was dumbstruck and looking at her furious.

Before searching for the correct words, Aravinth cleared his throat, "See Rashmi. I initially believed Love is beautiful, True love is beyond everything, etc, etc. But, now it's not. I am having different thought about the word love. To be open and honest, I never considered you in that way. I just considered you as my close friend, just like Adhithya. Love is not like a cup of coffee for me. I know it's value and pain through my previous love, where I suffered a lots. Infact I lost Adhithya almost in that. Look. You are too dear to me Rashmi. I don't want to lose you. Just leave this matter here itself. Let's not complicate this and please let be the way we are now."

Hearing these words, Rashmi's heartbeat starts to beat so faster. Her hands shivered and her eyes moistened up. Her bubbly face turned pale and with no more words to say, she stood up from the chair and turned to leave, "I'll see you later, Aravinth!"

Aravinth called out to her and tried to stop her. But it was too late. Because, Rashmi have left the cafe.

As Rashmi walked back to her house, the night sky had descended and the cloud had enshroud the stars, making the sky dark and scary. Tears kept flowing as Rashmi footsteps tiptoed in the night.

Shivani was busy preparing her notes for the semester exams when Rashmi entered the room. While taking a note, Shivani looks at Rashmi and she deduces from her looks that something have happened in the Cafe. Rashmi sat on the chair, buried her face in her hands and cried. Shivani quickly went and hugged her trying to pacify her friend.

Infact, Shanvi is a good friend to Rashmi like Adhithya to Aravinth. From childhood days, both are thick friends and shared their respective problems. Further, solving them together by sharing everything.

"It's Okay Rashmi. Everything will be fine."

"It's over Shivani. I lost the love of my life. You know. He used to support me, take care of me with love and affection. But, he finally told that I am just a friend for him and he doesn't want to complicate this. I had a dreamt of a life with him Shivu. Now all my dreams are shattered into pieces. I can't even put them together. My tale of memories ended even before it started." She said in between her sobs.

"Rashmi. Have a little water first, please. Stop crying. We will talk about it and figure out something."

Shivani had held Rashmi close to her all this while, trying to control her own tears. She was heartbroken seeing her  best friend's sad situation.

As Shivani told that we would figure out something, Rashmi reveals to her that, "It's useless. Because, he have already told the reason that, his first love ended up as a tragic failure and from that time he never trust on love."

That entire night, Rashmi lay wide awake on her bed, with silent tears rolling down from her cheeks. Aravinth on the other hand tossed and turned on in his bed along with Adhithya. As sleep evaded him too. Tired of trying to sleep, he went out from his room. Rashmi's tears and her words keeps resonating in his ears and pictures of the Cafe kept flashing in his mind. He recalled everything from their first meeting to how they became close friends.

Even after few days, Shivani sees Rashmi crying and thinking about the same things, that have been finished. Concerned she goes near to Rashmi and tells her, "That's enough Rashmi. I understand your feelings and pain. But, remaining as such won't help you. All these days, you have done hard work by studying. You haven't studied anything for the exams. Your medals and cup all would go waste if you failed to study well for this final examination. If you remain like this, then I would inform this to your father and sister respectively."

Silent tears kept flowing from Rashmi's eyes, wetting her cheeks. She looked at her friend in between her tears and managed a faint smile.

Since that evening at the Cafe, even Aravinth had been disturbed. He couldn't concentrate properly on his studies. He couldn't talk well with his friends. Additionally, he is unable to eat a proper food and have a good sleep. Right after that evening, Aravinth tried to speak with Rashmi. Nothing worked out. Because she have blocked his contact in whatsapp and refused to answer his calls. Shivani told him to give her some time. Now all he could do was to recall about their friendship.

Adhithya had been observing Aravinth for all these days. He becomes surprised a lot. Because he have never seen his friend so upset and helpless. Adhithya then, reminds about his meeting with Rashmi and being smart, he deduces that something have happened between the two.

Later that night, when Aravinth went for buying cigarette, Adhithya too accompanied him. They both walked up to the garden which was centred in the heart of the campus. The place was wet due to the heavy rains and cold winds were blowing very fast in the place, with some sort of snowfall and mist around the sky.

Aravinth tried to light a cigarette. But, he couldn't do it and instead threw the packet into dustbin, after be remembered the words of Rashmi, in between the time.

"Buddy. I very well knew that, you can't smoke a single cigarette. I observed you for a past few days da. You seemed to be disturbed and upset. What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing da buddy. It's just that me and Rashmi are not talking."

"Oh! Why so? You guys fought over for something? And is that it? I mean you are so perturbed just over a small fight issue?"

After he narrated him the complete scene in the Cafe, both fell silent. Their silent occasionally interrupted by the sounds of football and basketball near to the grounds.

A while later, Adhithya asked to his friend, "Are you sure that she is a friend for you? And nothing more than that? I always thought that you loved her. The way she speaks with you, the way she affects you and the way you have been so protective and possessive about her doesn't imply 'just friends.' Please don't mind me saying this da buddy. It's just beyond friendship, as per my analysis. Are you scared to accept her feelings because of your tragic first love failure da? Are those issues dithering you to love her back?"

Aravinth was sombre and silent. He is unable to give a single answer for him. Because whatever that Adhithya told was right.

Adhithya then continues saying to him, "Buddy. Listen da. If God takes something away from us, he would replace that through other means. Like such only, he have sent Rashmi in your life. From childhood, we are very close friends. You have guided me and I have guided you. We both have a mutual understanding with each other da. She is a good girl, buddy. Don't harm her. That's it I could say to you da buddy."

Aravinth decides to think about it. But he shelves it off and proceeds to prepare for his final year semester exams. While preparing for his exams, he gets a phone call from his grandfather suddenly, one day.

"Yeah grandpa. Tell me. How are you?"

"I am fine, grandson. Have you started preparing for semester exams? I got to know from your school principal."

"Yes grandpa. Everything is going well. How is your trip in Varanasi grandpa? Is it good?"

"I am enjoying the natural scenarios pa. It's very good. My long dream to come and visit this place. It cherished my heart with happiness."

After speaking for fifteen minutes, his grandpa cuts the call and Aravinth gets ready for his exams. Then, as he lay on his bed, Adhithya's words echoed in his ears. But things further goes worse at this moment. Rashmi had not returned not even a single call. And she had not even greeted or looked at him when they crossed their ways to the exam hall. After the exams, Aravinth was heartbroken to see Rashmi so sad and distressed. He blames himself for her pity situation. He had urged to go and hug her tight. But, in vain.

Time rolled and the friends(Adhithya, Aravinth, Shivani and Rashmi) have completed their final semester exams successfully. Few days later, results are announced. The friends have passed out from the college with flying colors and good score.

Before going out from the college, the friends see each other in tears and hoped for coming back again to his college if internship programme is given to them. All the four goes back to their respective house.

Rashmi starts to miss Aravinth and vice versa. The evening was badly etched in her memories. She would often type a message for him and delete it. She used to go for and see his posts in Facebook and Instagram. Checking his whatsapp profile, etc. Eventually she started blaming herself for losing him.

As days turned to weeks and months, Rashmi starts to miss Aravinth a lot. She decides to talk with him once, when she is in the college for internship programme. In the meanwhile, her dad had agreed to her internship programme from his workplace.

The friends returned back to attend the internship programme in the college. This time, Abinesh have gave a surprise visit to Adhithya, when he was getting ready for going to the college.

"Buddy. How are you da? What a surprise! After a long days, I am meeting you da."

"I am fine da, buddy. How is Aravinth?"

"He is fine da. What about you? What's this posture da. You have completely changed."

"I have got a job in USA da, buddy. That's why. What about you? Where are you going da?"

"I am going to my college for attending internship programme da buddy."

"Shall I drop you?"

Adhithya hesitated by telling, "No da buddy. I have my bike da."

Abinesh convinced him and took him in the car. As he drived, he sees Adhithya quite sad and disturbed. He stopped the car and asked him, "Buddy. What happened to you da? It seems like you are thinking about something and disturbed."

"Nothing like such da buddy. I am meeting Aravinth after long days la. That's why I am puzzled."

"Dei dei. Don't act da. I guess there is some other problem. Tell me frankly. What happened really?"

Adhithya opens up an incident, that occurred before few days ago.

His neighbour Nisha was in love with Adhithya since childhood days. She is cool-looking girl, with pink coloured spectacles and black eyes. She have a white-bubbly face. Nisha is fun-loving and happy-go-lucky girl. Her father Rajendran had been working in his father's industry in an important post and is a very close friend for him.

When Nisha proposed her love to him, he turned down the proposal by telling her that, "First love have always became a failure in one's life and he is not ready to face it."

Her father realized that she truly loves him and spoke with his father. Adhithya's father is very happy to hear this. He spoke with him. But, Adhithya asked him for time to attend the internship programmes and get settled in a job.

Adhithya then, read his mother's diary one day in his house. At that time, he realized how she loved her husband and how she was his good wife. Additionally, she have quoted to him in the end that, "If a man loves a woman and if a woman loves a man, but families are against their love and marriage, then it is called as Dharma. ... It's a do or die for the couple and that is called dharma."

The same time, he gone through his father's medical problems through his report and confronted him about this. He told his son that, "His life is very few days due to cancer." Adhithya became heartbroken to learn this shocking news from him and suggested his father to go for treatment telling that, "he would cure him."

But, he refused and told him, "In human's life, no one would be living with us permanently da. Life is beautiful. We have memorable days, sweet moments and rejoicing days. The same way, we should await our death also happily."

Then, Aravinth too got to know about this and met Adhithya along with his grandfather in the video chat.

"See your father da. How much he have became disturbed, you see! Hey. I was raised up by my grandpa da. I didn't have the love of my parents. Because they died when I was in that young age. But, in your's case, it's not like such. Your father raised you up by doing so many sacrifices. He is asking you to marry the girl, who liked you da. Hey buddy. He would die by thinking about that itself da, if you are like this. When our parents are alive, we won't do anything for them. After they died, we would start to regret about the same da."

"My dear grandson. Life is full of challenges. We must have the courage to face it. You and my grandson have solved so many problems brave hearted. Won't you solve these things? Think about it. You have time for this because."

Adhithya agreed and asked for some time to think about these things.

PRESENT:

"So, what have you planned now?" Abinesh asked him.

"I don't know Abi. Confused a lot. Because Aravinth faced his first love failure. If this fails means, what guarantee can he give me?"

Abinesh then reaches the college and meets Aravinth. Through Shivani, he learns that he too is in the same confusion "whether to love Rashmi or not." Henceforth, he takes them both to the restaurant in the college and asked them, "For you, first love have got failed. For you, you are fearing to accept the first love. Am I right?"

They looked at him in pin drops of silence. Abinesh told them, "See buddies. I very well believe love. As a Brahmin, I used to read Bhagavad Gita, Garuda Literature and Mahabharata daily after waking up from my bed. From one of the quotes of Bhagavad Gita about Love, I am telling you. We are all souls, spiritual beings entitled to rejoice in eternal love with the supremely lovable persons. When our loving nature is contaminated by selfishness, we start loving things more than persons, especially the Supreme."

Adhithya and Aravinth realizes their mistakes and they decides to rectify the errors. While Aravinth was going towards his class to attend the internship programme, a call rings in the phone of Adhithya. It's from his father. After he told a news, he is left disturbed and sad. He keeps the phone inside his pocket.

"What happened da Adhithya? Who called in the phone?"

"That is...that is...my father only buddy."

"What happened da? What did he say?"

"Haa...your grandfather...your grandfather passed away itseems da...he died in his sleeps in Varanasi da. Just now they have bought back his body to our house. They informed my father at 7:30 AM. He then informed me, after some delays."

Hearing the news, Aravinth had been left shocked and saddened. Tears started to flow from his eyes and his face turned pale. He is heartbroken and recalls a moment, where he and his grandfather spoke something related to them.

"Grandpa. You should take care of your health. Kindly don't stress yourself."

"For me I am always healthy da Grandson. Can you do me one last wish da?"

"Sure grandpa. Tell me."

"I have a wish to go for Varanasi for long days. From there, I wish to go for Kasi da. If I couldn't be able to go by any means and any situation, like due to my death means, you have to immerse my ashes in the river da."

Aravinth agrees to do so with a sort of painful smile. Afterwards, he tells to Adhithya at present, "He wished to go for Varanasi and Kasi da. But, he failed to go for Kasi alone buddy. I am left to immerse his ashes alone." He cries out aloud.

Abinesh consoles him and tells, "Cool down da buddy. See how life is. It's like a boomerang. We don't know what would happen in the future da. But, we have to live the life in present, where we experience happiness and lead a joyful life. Life is not in our hands da. It's in the hands of God."

Adhithya realizes the value and importance of life. He realizes how he have failed to understand the feelings of Nisha and he decides to meet her. The two meet each other in Singanallur.

"What Adhithya? Why have you asked me to come here? Anything important!"

"Yes Nisha. I have to talk with you."

"What you want to talk with me?"
"I realized how much you loved me Nisha. That too, only after the death of Aravinth's grandfather, I realized the value and importance of life. We can't predict what could happen in the future. But, we should live the life, which had been gifted by God. Now, you are a gift, provided by the God. I love you, Nisha."

Nisha is extremely happier to hear this from Adhithya. But, she hides her happiness and tells to him, "As you have realized the importance of love, should I have to accept you? You have troubled me a lot, Adhithya. I have to punish you right."

"What punishment dear? Whatever you give, I accept. Should I put situps, should I get beatings or you have to slap me?"

"That's all very easy punishments for you. I am going to give you a tough punishment. Hmm..."

After thinking for a while, she told him: "You have to tell me, "I Love you" for five times daily for One weeks." Adhithya realizes that she have accepted his love and he runs towards her to give her a tight hug.

He lifts her and the duo embrace each other.

"Only that or a kiss!" Adhithya asked her.

"Go da. You naughty boy." Nisha said. But, Adhithya gives her a lip kiss.

On the other hand, Aravinth remains upset for some days and starts his journey fresh by rejoining Internship programme. After a year, he finishes his internship programme and one day, Rashmi meets him in the house, with sad face.

Aravinth is surprised on her sudden visit to his house and feels elated.

"Come Rashmi. What a pleasant surprise. Have a seat."

Rashmi sits in the sofa of his house.

"One minute wait Rashmi. I will ask my grandpa to prepare coffee for you."

"Grandpa...My friend Rashmi have come. Please give her coffee."

However, Rashmi looks at him shocked. Then, Aravinth comes back to his senses and tells her, "Oh! I am sorry Rashmi. I will go and prepare coffee by myself."

He moves from the place towards the photo of his grandpa, which hangs in the wall. After preparing coffee, he comes and gives it to her.

While drinking a bit, she drops tears from her eyes and Aravinth is shocked to observe this.

"Rashmi. What happened? Why are you crying?" 

After crying aloud for a while she hugs Aravinth and tells him, "My father have passed away before few days Aravinth. Due to heart attack. The only person, who cared me died sooner. My sister an her family sent me out and didn't even cared that, I am one of her family member. She behaved harsh. No one lend me support except Shivani. I realized how much I missed you at that time. I have now became orphaned Aravinth. No one is there for me."

"Don't worry Rashmi. Who told that you have none to care? Your lover Aravinth is there with you. Until I am alive and give a hand of support for you, no one could tell you as orphan. Now onwards, you are mine baby. I love you."
Rashmi's tearful eyes went to the shower of little happiness. Her closed mouth starts to have a shower of smile and she tightly hugs Aravinth.

Aravinth decides to have a live-in-relationship life with Rashmi. Because he didn't believe in marriage. Now, both needs an immediate job having finished their internship programme. Henceforth, they searches for jobs in the nearby hospitals and successfully gets a job of medical surgeon in one of the private hospitals.

Aravinth expresses his desire to get settled financially and further told Rashmi that, "Their marriage to be happened after they become settled financially." She agrees to this. Adhithya meanwhile, gets married to Nisha with his father's blessings.

Aravinth goes along with Rashmi and Abinesh, who have got married recently with the girl of his parent's choice.

"Buddy. Got married. You can't be able to enjoy bachelor life hereafter. Became a family man, like us ah!" Abinesh said by tapping Adhithya's stomach.

Adhithya expressed his signs of shy and Aravinth congratulates his new married life by giving him a gift of Diary, in which he have showcased his memorable moments with Adhithya, mentioning about their beautiful days.

11:17 PM, ARAVINTH'S HOUSE JULY 31, 2019- THE NEXT DAY:

After having dinner in Adhithya's marriage hall a d staying for one day in the house of Adhithya, Aravinth returns to his house along with Rashmi the next day at 11:17 PM. He is having a surprise for Rashmi. As they returned to the house, Aravinth sees the house dark and realized that current have gone.

It's Rashmi's birthday and Aravinth wishes her happy birthday at that time, by lighting candles despite the lack of current with the cakes. She emotionally thanks him and shares a hug.

After a few minutes, Rashmi changes her clothes and comes back by wearing a green sari, that was gifted by him. Aravinth lights candles, with the help of a matchstick.

He sees Rashmi coming in green sari, with her hips been exposed and her hairs, little down with a bubbly face and a happy smile. Aravinth moves towards her and he was about to kiss in her lips. But, he backs off from that and tells Rashmi, "I am sorry baby. I shouldn't have done like such. Today was the day  where my first love Varshini proposed her love and also your birthday too.... That's why I did like such. Really really sorry."

However Rashmi consoles him and tells, "No problem baby. I didn't take it serious." Aravinth tries to move back from her. But, he sees through her eyes which tempts him to stay there.

"Rashmi..." Aravinth called her out.

"Yes Aravinth. Tell."

"We have gone for the marriage, we ate and came here. That solve ah? Should we have to sleep?"

"Yes. Definitely. We have enjoyed to the core today." While speaking like such, Rashmi accidentally slips off due to the mat, which was beneath her and she unnoticed that.

Aravinth catches her by touching her hip and he kisses her lips passionately for two times, which he does after a second of gap in the first kiss. She looks him in surprise and she is angry too. But, she smiles and hugs him. As current didn't come back, they decides to read some books in the lightning candle.

With his thoughts lost in love and being moved with the romantic mood on Rashmi, Aravinth eventually succumbs. The duo starts by reading a novel called, "Rubber, by Jeyamohan. B" and takes down hid themes of environmental issues and the present social problems. At that time, Aravinth moves into Rashmi's hands with a glimpse of smile. He accidentally holds her hands while reading a line from the book.

"Let's go for sleep, Rashmi. It's already time." Aravinth said. However, they hears off the thunderstorm sounds, outside the house and they goes outside to upstairs of their house, where Aravinth have a personal bedroom and study room. There, the duo see the balcony, where rains starts to downpour heavily, after leaving some little drops.

The duo enjoys the rainfall by dancing together in the balcony and gets wet. Initially, he touches her face, then touches her shoulders by laughing. She realizes what he is trying to do to her and hesitates.

Henceforth, Aravinth feels the fabric of her hair while dancing and further, smells her beauty by touching her face through his nose. She is feared and goes inside the house. Since she is provoked and disturbed by his act. He tries to kiss her, but she instead hugs him.

Aravinth then, goes inside and she tries to move away from him, due to the confused mind. To break away her shyness and silence, he starts to kiss her face, lips, eyes and nose vigorously implying her that, "They can realize their mad love by seeing their heartbeat and hear their inner love from heart, irrespective of the age difference."

Afterwards of this, Aravinth touches the hip of Rashmi and holds her tighter in order to kiss her in the neck and lips respectively. Both of them denies as well as smile together. However, he breaks his silence and decides to be joyful with Rashmi by telling her, "Baby. Let's be joyful."

He rigorously kissed her lips with the feel of Romance in his eyes and the feel that, "He have got Rashmi as a huge gift in his life."

Then, he proceeds to undo her sari like removing the sculpture and further, removes his shirts. At that time, he moves his hands around her nose and takes her vermillion. Then, he proceeds to undo her dresses slowly and both gets nude after getting into the bed.

In the bed, the duo closes their body(due to nudity) with a blanket. Rashmi feels the hot breath of Aravinth as he starts to kiss her from the top of forehead to the nose and lips. In addition, she feels that her hair is melting, as he is proceeding to kiss and hug her through his hot body. Rashmi gets pleasured as she sees his body yearning with the romantic mood. Both doesn't know what are they doing and what they are thinking. Been moved by romantic mood and in the heat to realize their music of love, they are forgetting each other and losing their virginity through the love-making.

Aravinth gently strokes Rashmi's neck and ends up the love-making vigorously after kissing her lips, face, nose and head respectively. Rashmi sleeps with Aravinth by hugging him tight with her hands. Both sleeps together for one whole night.

6:30 PM, THE NEXT DAY:

The next day, both Aravinth and Rashmi feels concerned about the thing, that happened yesterday. Because, both wanted to set their goals finished, despite having a good job and financial strength. Rashmi wails and regrets about her situation.

While Aravinth blames himself for being responsible to spoil her virginity and destroying his dreams by doing this kind of a dastardly and hurried mistake. Things take a turn and worsens further, when Rashmi talks about their marriage with Aravinth one day.

Because he gets extremely angered and chases her outside his house. Hurt initially, she leaves his house and stays with Shivani in an apartment. She comes to know about the things, that happened between Aravinth and Rashmi. The ego clashes, conflicts and career clashes is also told to Shivani.

She consoles Rashmi and asks her to give some time space for Aravinth and herself. Because both are now confused and frustrated due to their unexpected night, at that time. Recalling her memorable moments with Aravinth for these many days, she accepts and proceeds as told by Shivani.

As days passed into months, Aravinth starts to miss Rashmi dearly and felt that he had been left alone. In addition, he behaves different towards his hospital staffs and employees. But, he is not harsh. Adhithya, now a surgeon in the same hospitals, is surprised with Aravinth's aggression and changed behavior.

He goes near to him and confronts about his act. Aravinth in turn, reveals to him about everything that happened between him and Rashmi before few days ago. Puzzled, Adhithya asked him to be patient and think a little about his act, before going to meet Rashmi again. He agrees to his request. The same thing that Shivani told to Rashmi, have been told by Adhithya too.

TEN DAYS LATER, SAKTHI GIRLS HOSTEL- COIMBATORE:

Ten days later, Aravinth goes to meet Rashmi after realizing his mistakes and follies. There, Rashmi allows him inside the house after fighting with him initially for the misunderstanding that, they both had before few days ago. After settling their differences and disputes by talking mutually, Aravinth apologizes to her and takes her to his house again, after persuading and convincing Shivani. Aravinth starts to take care of her.

NOVEMBER 30, 2020:


One day, Rashmi suddenly vomits after having a food. Realizing that she could have became pregnant, she gets a kit and checks it. The result have came positive and she informs this to Aravinth, with a disturbed mindset.

Threatened and deeply disturbed by this news, both Aravinth and Rashmi consults a doctor named Radhakrishnan, who is a family friend of Aravinth and a gynecologist. He is a man of 78-years age, exactly equal to the age of Aravinth's grandfather.

After a while of talking, Aravinth tells about the tight situation, that he have been facing with Rashmi.

"Doctor. Better we can do abortion. We don't need this child." Aravinth said to him.

"What you are saying about this ma? Do you want to abort this child?" Radhakrishnan asked her, despite knowing that, a woman could not kill an unborn child in order to test her mentality.

She remains silent searching for some right words and struggles to answer his questions. Radhakrishnan tells to Aravinth, "Hey Aravinth. You are also working as a doctor. Our role is to save patients. Not to kill them. Even killing an unborn child is a medical crime da. Take your own time and decide, whether you are doing the right thing!"

He agrees and takes Rashmi along with him. Aravinth decides to have the baby and tells the same to Rashmi, to which she is happier and agrees gladly. Aravinth informs to the doctor that, "He is not aborting the baby and consults him in order to know the do's and don't during the pregnancy time period."

After knowing the things clearly, Aravinth takes Rashmi with him and b decides to get married after having a heated conversation. With Adhithya's father, Abinesh, his wife, Adhithya and Nisha attending their marriage ceremony along with several other reputed business people, both gets married happily with their blessings.

Then, Aravinth gets a temporary days of holiday for Rashmi from her hospitals after giving the medical report of her pregnancy. He takes care of her by giving her healthy foods, healthy fruits and healthy items by carefully examining everything.

9 MONTHS LATER: SEPTEMBER 10, 2020-

Since Covid 19 Pandemic(attack of Wave 1) started attacking India widespread all over 29 states, lockdown have been passed over the past 7 months. The lockdown was total with tight police securities all over India. Even a single vehicle needed e-pass if they have to go for other district or other state for any purpose.

Because the virus was very dangerous and many have to wear mask in order to protect themselves. The usual road of Coimbatore Airport was in pindrop silence with no vehicles. A very few vehicles were going around the place, that too only for medical purposes like death, delivery, etc.

Police protection have been there all over the checkpost and tollgates in the borders. Adhithya's father passed away recently due to the Covid attack. Aravinth and Adhithya were stressed with covid jobs and were not allowed to go and take care of their respective pregnant wives.

Since, the duo are wearing mask for the continuous period of 48 hours, their face have signs of injuries. Unlike the previous days, where they could go in the usual time periods, they can't go as such now. Since, Rashmi and Nisha got their seemandham finished just before a month ago, the guys are concerned about them.

But, their senior doctors refuses to understand the two guy's tight situation due to the Covid attacks. In these days, many hospital staffs, including nurse and some famous doctors have lost their life due to the Corona disease in the lockdown periods.

Even the guys have to control their urge to go for bathroom. It's such a stressful job for them now. Adhithya and Aravinth vexed severely with the continuous surgeries and jobs. They expects when to get relieved from their jobs.

After three long days of staying in the hospitals for 72 hours, the guys are released finally from the hospitals to go and meet their respective wives. For last few months, the guys were unable to spend qualitative time with families. Now, they have got a full opportunity to spend enough time.

Adhithya felt like he have got relieved from this stressful job and he leaves a huge sound of "Huh....It's such a pathetic condition for us da buddy. Didn't even experience these kinds of stress when we came for the first time to this job."

"Corona have made us to do these kinds of jobs da buddy. Thank God. Our country is under safe zone. We are gifted with safer zone and that's our Lovable country India."

"Buddy. We were alerted and took precautionary measures. If we have left as such like other countries USA, UK, Italy, and China, then we too could have died in this covid attack."

"What my grandpa told was right da. Anytime anything would happen in our life da. We should be ready to face it."

"I think this wave would go up to the extent of 30 or 100...It won't stop as such. Some say it artificial and some say it Natural...only God know the truth, I think."

Adhithya takes a leave to his hosue, after dropping Aravinth in his house and reaches his house. After refreshing himself, he goes to meet Nisha, who is sleeping peacefully.

He ensured that, she have taken proper medications and foods to take care of her baby. Then, he eats fruits and goes to sleep. On the other hand, Aravinth sees Rashmi in a chair, thinking about something.

He goes towards her and asked, "Hey Rashmi. Didn't you sleep? See what's the time now!"

"Aravinth. Did you see this?" She asked him by placing his hand on her stomach. He experiences some sort of moving in her stomach and realizes that, their baby is going to come out sooner.

Aravinth tells that, now he would spend enough time with her. Since, all his works have got completed and Rashmi asked him, "Aravinth. In the TV news, government told that Corona got reduced. Is it true?"

"No Rashmi. They are showcasing the case reports wrongly. In addition, we as doctors know the pain of our three long days of duty. It's horrible for us. There are hundreds and hundreds of cases coming to our hospitals. Among those, some even died. The government are not ready to realize our works and pains. Thank god. Now only, our hospital deen freed us. However, we all formed an association for us to protect and support Doctors."

Rashmi feels sorry for Aravinth's situation. While speaking, Rashmi suffers labour pain and she leaves the sort of pain by shouting. Panick striken, Aravinth takes her in his car and calls out Shivani to help him out. She enters into the car and she helps Rashmi to lay in her lap.

Thank god to their luck, Aravinth have already prepared e-pass and medical report for this emergency situation. The police henceforth, he is allowed to go on for the hospitals.

On the other hand, Nisha also suffers severe labour pains and she is taken by Adhithya in his car. He takes her to the hospitals of Radhakrishnan after facing tight situation and challenges from police officers, who intervened in between for checking his e-pass and medical reports respecitvely.

Doctor Radhakrishnan's junior Doctor Akhil comes and informs to Adhithya that, "Nisha is struggling to deliver her baby and she needs his guidance and motivation in order to deliver her baby successfully."

Adhithya goes to her and consles her by wearing the hospital dresses. Nisha successfully delivers twin girls. However, she faints afterwards and he goes panicked.

The same time, Aravinth also stands and lends his hand of support to Rashmi while she is delivering her baby. She struggles and delivers a baby girl. However, she develops an immediate fits later and faints down. He is also left panicked. Shivani feels happier to know that, "She have delivered a baby girl." Meanwhile, Nisha gets treated by the doctors and she regains her consciousness, after which she sees an emotional Adhithya, with a shower of smile.

"Nothing to worry Nisha. Now you are alright."

"Dear. See the girls. Both are looking like you. Beautiful right!" Adhithya said to her.

"Yes Adhi." She said to him, with a smile in her face.

Meanwhile, Rashmi is given a treatment by Radhakrishnan and she recovers after the treatment. Then she regains her consciousness back after eight hours. Rashmi's elder sister comes along with her family to the hospitals and meets Aravinth.

"I realized how cruel I have been these many days Aravinth. I didn't understand the feelings and emotions of my sister at any cause. While, you realized her pains, sensitivity and emotions. You took a good care of her and made me to realize that, 'Love is beyond everything.' Forgive me da. I will take a leave from this place. But, tell her that, I have apologized for my dastardly and cruel act."

"Sister-in-law. You are also a part of our family. Please don't say like such. Come inside and see our baby..."

She agrees and comes along with her husband in order to see the baby. Rashmi is emotional upon seeing her sister in the place. Her sister's eyes became wet with tears flowing down from her eyes and she tells her, "Life is sometimes cruel, Rashmi. I failed to understand your needs. I am sorry."

She forgives her sister and at that happier moment, Adhithya calls him and tells that, "He have got twin girl babies." Aravinth happily hangs the call and spends some memorable moments with the family.

Then, he gets a call from his senior doctor. After he told a news, he hangs off the call with his happiness going away from his face and his so far smiles too vanished away faster.

"What happened Adhithya?" Rashmi and Shivani asked him. When he was about to tell something, he receives a call from Adhithya. He tells him, "Buddy. We have to go for hospitals immediately. Our senior doctor have called us to come da. It's very important."

"I already knew that da buddy. You come outside. I will wait in my cars." He accepts and hangs off the call.

"What happened Adhithya? Where are you going?" Nisha asked him from her bedside.

"Covid-19 Wave 2 started spreading in London itseems Nisha. That's why, we doctors are called for an association meeting by our seniors. We have to go and take precautionary measures as usual, like in Wave 1 attack. Take care of our baby, dear. Because I don't know when will I come home or go for hospitals.
