The sky was slightly overcast. The Sun was just beginning its journey from the eastern horizon. The golden rays scattered and spread hope and joy.

Myra was delighted to feel this morning's aura. And decided this is the time for my work. So, she set out on foot, her trek happily.

Myra wandered through the forest. She walked alone on an eerie path leading to the dak bungalow, deep in the woods. She was supposed to meet a forest officer who was stationed there. The bungalow was very far. Myra wanted to enjoy the trek. She loved trekking, so she decided to go alone.

The bungalow was 15 km away from the city.

"Don't go alone. It is dangerous. Take someone along with you.' Sanya, her friend, suggested.

"Oh! No. I am not scared. I have traveled to so many places. Moreover, I enjoy walking in the woods. " Myra exclaimed. "I must get these documents signed today at any cost. He might not be here tomorrow" Myra thought. And started.

On her way, she spotted a beautiful bird.

"Oh my God!! These birds are so beautiful. Bluish-necked, sharp beak, drilling through the tree trunk. Aha! Now I remember, these are woodpeckers."

Myra reminisced, about her childhood days. How in summer holidays, she would visit her grandma! She lived in a village near a forest. Every day they both would go bicycling early morning into the Woods. Bird watching! Her granny always carried a camera. Clicking beautiful birds. Myra would be thrilled to learn so much about so many exotic species.

They would return by 9 o'clock, with a basket full of flowers, fruits, and colorful feathers. Myra would be overjoyed to bring home this treasure. Her bounty then.

"The nature walk is my favorite pass time", she smiled to herself. "And I am not in a hurry." She sat down, in the shade of a silk cotton tree, appreciating beautiful red flowers lying on the floor. "Let me have a bite." and started to nibble on her sandwich. There was something that worried her. "Some trees are missing here", she murmured. "I think".

As she munched, her gaze fell on someone standing in front of her. A thin frail woman, in brown, tattered clothes was staring at her.

 "Who are you? "Myra enquired.

" I am Timber ", the woman replied. Tears were rolling down her cheeks.

"Why are you crying? "Myra asked. "What do you want?"

"Please help me, Madam. Some men are cutting me down "

"You see, I was living, green. They pulled me down, to earn their crown. This way, they shall cut down all and denude the green, living forest"

"You are an activist. You are working on Nature Conservation. So please help me "

Myra was shocked. And nodded. "I shall try my best."

From the corners of her eyes, Myra saw a small, tiny creature shivering and whimpering.

"They have hunted her mother! They have killed her." Myra heard parrots. She picked up and carried the tiny fawn.

But suddenly she woke up with a jerk. The timber woman, the birds and the fawn had vanished.

She realized she had dozed off. There was something very queer about this place. Some strange and illegal activities are going on here, she felt.

Myra got up and dusted her clothes. "Oh My God!! I must hurry. " And began her trek with a faster pace. She was almost there. She could see the bungalow, so raced downhill to catch up with the officer. Puffing and panting, she rang the doorbell.

Myra was admiring the surroundings. She loved hills, greens, forests and wild animals and birds. And began to hum her favorite song.

Myra heard footsteps approaching the door, so she straightened herself. What sort of a person he will be, Myra wondered.

Just then the door opened. Myra was shocked!!

She fumbled for words. Unbelievable.

Right in front of her was a tall, fair and handsome guy.

He must be 6 feet tall. He had dark, curly and thick crop of

hair. He had a strong jawline. With a twinkle in his eyes and smiling, he said Hi!

Hi! Myra.!

Myra almost swooned!, Stumbled!

He caught her.

Rohan! You !! Myra exclaimed !!
