The first few lies of Alex

Once on a bright, sunny spring morning Alex was peering out through the window to the park adjacent to his house. He was very honest and had never lied before. He saw a few boys playing baseball. Alex recognised them, they were the boys who had beaten a puppy badly. Mom had told him not to play with them and Alex totally agreed.

While running, one of the boys asked, ' Hey, will you play with us? We're having a lot of fun. ' Alex replied, ' No, thanks. Let me recognise, are you the same boys who had beaten a puppy badly last week ? ' The boy yelled ' I have no time to talk to you, however we're having a lot of fun ! ' After this the boy ran away. Alex thought to himself, ' No wonder ; they are enjoying.' He sighed. After a period of time they had a short break.

Alex wanted to join them. Alex wanted to lie, but couldn't. He was feeling perplexed ; still tried lying ' Mom m going to the park to freshen. ' As mum was in the kitchen she couldn't hear.' It was Alex's first lie in the life time. He went running to the park and asked them whether he could play too. After a small discussion they finally agreed. Finally the time had come for Alex to bat. There was no doubt that he was not only a wonderful fielder or a good bowler but even a splendid batsman.

He kept hitting sixes and fours. The team was just about to win when........ Alex hit a six but the ball went to Mrs. Spencers and a a window broke.

All the boys started shouting at Alex ' what have you done ?' Alex asked them ' What now ? Should I go ask it from her ?' The boys told ' Are u mad ? Run, run, everyone go home ' and after this they ran home.  Alice, Alex's sister had seen everything,   even his first lie.

Soon after 10 - 15 mnts the door bell rang ; Alex gulped, to his astonishment it wasnt Mrs. Spencers for it was his father. Alex was relieved.

It was hardly 5 mnts when the door bell rang again. U're right. It was Mrs. Spencers. She complained that Alex had broken one of her windows. Mother asked Alex where he had been. He lied again, ' I was just strolling. ' Mrs. Spencer exclaimed, ' I had seen you running to your house.' Alex shook in fear and tried lying again, ' A.... A.....Actually, i...t wasnt...' Mrs. Spencer interrupted, ' Oh well, now yoi'll tell that it wasn't you. I know all your excuses.' Mom said, ' Mrs. Spencer, Alex was speaking. Let him speak. ' Alex continued, 'A.... A.....Actually, i...t wasnt me... they were the bad boys who had beaten a puppy badly last week, I saw them running, therefore even I ran.

Mother asked suspiciously, ' How do you know that they were the bad boys? ' I recognised them while taking a leisurely walk.' Alex lied again. Mother wad convinced and said Mrs. Spencer that hr would never play with those boys. Even if he played with them he would have confessed. He never lies. Yes said Mrs. Spencer after analysing. Mrs. Spencer left.

Alex ran as fast as cheetah to his room. Alice knocked the door an came in. She said that she had seen and heard everything. She added that mom trusted you. Still you lied. I know you were tensed but you shouldn't have lied. M going to tell everything to mom. She said while leaving.

That night Alex wasn't able to sleep. He wrote everything in a piece of paper and glided in parents room. Next day mom called him to her room before breakfast and explained him instead of scolding. She said that he shouldn't have done that and should have confessed before.

She gave him a few dollars. Alex knew what he had to do. He went to Mrs. Spencers, confessed, gave the money and said sorry for lying before he left. Alex was relieved. He said mom he will never ever repeat this mistake again.

Moral : You have to say a million lies for hiding one truth

Luxury and lies have huge maintenance costs but Truth and simplicity are self maintained
