The Destiny Call - IV ( Dream

Recap:

How come he has your photograph as a dancer with him? Who is this man? How does he know you?

We need to meet him Swati. I know it's scary, but if we go together it may be easy for us?

Swati I don't know, but I am getting a feeling that this man knows something really big and important. Let us go together and find the answers.

Swati was actually happy listening to Naina and said," Naina, Thank you so much. I was scared before, but listening to you that "We" ll go and find out the truth behind this actually gives a lot of courage to me.

Let's go tomorrow and find some answers.....

Swati was now relieved as her best friend was with her. Naina was not just her friend, but she was like a sister to her, she always wanted. She decided not to tell her parents, as they might get worried. But more importantly, she thought she'll find the answers and maybe then she'll confide in them.

All she had to do was to meet that old man tomorrow and find answers that were troubling her.

After seeing her photograph her full focus shifted from the dream to that photograph.

She was feeling more confident now to meet that old man tomorrow. She remembered what her parents always told her about "facing fear" 

"The only way to defeat Fear is to Face it".Fear is just an illusion of the mind, nothing else"

The past few days have been dreadful for her, what she is going to encounter tomorrow is definitely hard and challenging, but if this step brings an end to her weird dreams, then she is ready to embrace the meeting with that old man instead of being haunted by the dream.

That night she had another dream, but it was different from what she had been watching past few days.

She saw herself dressed as a dancer and that too a classical dancer, and to her much surprise she was dressed exactly the way she was in the photograph. She saw herself on a big stage in a big auditorium and to her much surprise, she saw that old man with her. 

The auditorium was entirely filled by the audience and as the anchor said, "Now, please put your hands together for our another amazing dancer Ms Meetali Iyer. As the name got announced she came to the stage, with the spotlight right on her, while the old man was standing behind the curtains and said, "Go Meetali, All the best beta.

And then as the music started, she started dancing and much to her surprise her dance enchanted the audience completely. How could she perform so well, she has never danced before and that too classical dance, it was much much out of her league.

But suddenly she realised, she was not addressed as "Swati", but "Meetali".

And to her much surprise, she further realised she was not on the stage, instead, she was standing in the last row as the audience.

Wait does that mean she has a doppelganger named "Meetali" who is a dancer and looks exactly like her?

Or is it "Her" only?

But how could this be possible, she was standing in the audience and her doppelganger was on the stage.

What was the connection between the "doppelganger" and the "old man"?

After the dance got over the anchor reappeared on the stage and announced, "Thank you Meetali, That was such a fantastic performance. Well, I can clearly see the audience is well chanted by your performance. Well done girl.

So with this performance, we come to an end of our today's contest " Dancer No 1" and well we'll take a small break here, before our judge's shares today's result.

I must say all the top 10 performances were so amazing, but we need to pick "Winner of the day", so ladies and gentleman, please enjoy the snacks break, and we resume in another half an hour.

Swati was still standing in the crowd watching this show, she decided to approach that old man and her doppelganger" Meetali" to talk to them. She had questions for both of them.

As soon as the anchor announced the snacks break everyone got up from their seat. It got challenging for her to find her way to the stage, where the old man and "Meetali" were standing behind the curtain and talking.

But somehow she found her way to them.

They were still standing there near the curtain and talking.

Swati approached and said to the old man, "Hi, I am Swati. I know this seems weird what I am seeing right now. She is my doppelganger, well no doubt she is a wonderful dancer, but yesterday I met you and you showed me the photograph, so I assume it was her only. I guess it's just a coincidence that she resembles me, nothing more. What I am trying to convey here is, "Why have you been appearing in my dreams and telling me my destiny has something better planned for me.

My parents are a doctor and it's my dream to be a doctor too.

So, why am I constantly seeing the same dream and how did you find me in the park yesterday.

I know I am bombarding too many questions, but you don't know what I have been going through the past few days. These dreams have made my life so tough, I fought with my parents and was almost about to lose my best friend "Naina"

Also, if you don't mind can you tell me, what is your relationship with Meetali here?

After finishing her questions, she eagerly waited for the old man to answer, instead, he said to Meetali, "Beta. I am so proud of you. Your performance was outstanding. Whenever you go on the stage, you make me prouder. 

Now you must be tired, let's quickly go and change, and I'll arrange some snacks for you.

She was shocked to hear Meetali's response, Thank you, you are not only my father but my guru too. Whatever I am today is because of you. I am blessed to have you in my life as my mentor. The kind of sacrifices you have done for me I can never repay.

She hugged him and said in tears, "Even I am your adopted daughter, you have given so much love and care to me that I sometimes forget about it. You helped me to fulfil my dream of being a dancer.

The old man said, "Meetali, I told you several times, don't use the word "adopted".You are the sunshine of our life, beta. You have filled our lives with happiness much more than we could have asked for. I am sorry your Mumma, was not able to attend today's performance, as she had to perform an important surgery. But I am sure, she'll be waiting for us when we reach home.

Now, common let's hurry up before snacks get over.

As they left, Swati was speechless, they were not able to hear or see her, but she was able to hear and see them. This was definitely crazier than she thought.

And Meetali was adopted, she felt a bit sad for her. Though no doubt she was a good dancer, yet there was something different about her. She had a pleasing personality, soft-spoken, grounded to earth, despite being such a fabulous dancer she carried absolutely no pride, instead, she worshipped her dance and her guru.

It was clearly visible in her dance. She had never seen such a perfect combo in anyone. She was lucky to have that old man in her life, and well the old man and his wife were lucky to have her as well.

Even though the old man's wife was missing, she could imagine their perfect small family. Meetali's mother was a doctor, the only similarity between her and Meetali, she thought. 

However, she was really disappointed that though she confided everything to the old man and Meetali neither of them could see or hear her.

What does the old man want from her? I am no Meetali, it's just our faces look similar.

"Are you waiting for the Results to be announced or you are waiting for your answers, Swati ? she heard a voice from her back

As she turned back, she was shocked to see that same old man ie Meetali's father was standing there.

Swati was too scared for a second to answer, with a lot of courage she uttered, "What are you doing here. A few minutes back, you went with me I mean with Meetali to get some snacks for her.

Now I know Meetali is your daughter and a wonderful dancer, but what it has to do with me, the dreams and our meeting in the park?

The old man replied, "Swati, I am sorry I can't give answers to your queries now, but all I can say is you need to come and meet me tomorrow to get the answers. Now it's time for you to exit from here.

Swati nodded and said, "Before I leave, I want to tell you something. Your daughter is a very talented dancer and a wonderful human being. I am sure you are proud of her. You have done a wonderful job here. Can't I wait till the Results, well I have an idea about the Results, but would be glad to witness the success.

And even before the old man could reply, Swati heard, "Swati, get up, it's time for your jogging, get up, else you'll get late!

It was her mother's voice that was trying to wake her up. 

To her disappointment, her dream didn't get completed, but today morning was different to her, she was now all eager and set to meet the old man.

While she was getting ready the doorbell ranged. Her mother came up and informed that Naina was waiting for her downstairs to join for jogging.

Post getting ready she went down and was happy to see Naina downstairs. She hugged her and said, You'll not believe what I saw today in the dream.

Naian said, Well you look excited, why don't you tell me about your dream before we meet that old man today. My dear friend, I am happy that we'll find answers to your queries.

As Swati narrated the dream to Naina, she was shocked and said, "Swati I am really interested to know your connection with them.

And even before they realised they reached the same bench where the old man was waiting for them.

He saw them and said, "Hi Girls, it's good to see you today. Swati, Thank you for believing in me and being here to listen to me. I know you are looking for answers but before that, you need to listen to my story.

Even before the old man could say, something, Swati said, "Does this story involves your adopted daughter Meetali, who is there in the photograph with you?
