The Adventures Of Gillu-2

        

 All and whole, the primary matter of fact here was , Gillu was leading a very happy, satisfied and contented life. Apart from Badminton, he also attended some lectures or debates without missing a single one of them in the college.He never missed a single meeting. He also kept fasts on the Tuesdays and Ramu found out this religious side of Gillu when he saw that on every Tuesday , after the pooja rituals, when he serve the plateful of bone and chapatis to him, he took the plate and then went out for an hour or two to meet his street friends and sweet hearts and disposed the whole plate under the jasmine bed. Then, returned at night, slept under his master's bed and woke him up early in the morning by applying his cold nose and claws to the sleeper’s cheek..

All were going hunky-dory for Gillu till one day Ramu Brought into the house another dog.

Gillu was a very intelligent and obedient dog and would not have objected to another dog as such, but the only matter of concern of his worries and the reason he objected to was this dog’s short height. This dog was short.

Generally Gillu had a generous attitude and disposition towards people and to life but due to his past traumatic experience he hated short height dogs.While roaming around in the lanes, it was the habit of Gillu to knock down and scratch and sometimes even bite the short dogs. Now this "pimple has grown upon an ulcer" and he had no option but to swallow this bitter truth that a fellow standing , and holding the same status like him, and this pitch dark in color, with a long loose furry tailed two-month-old-puppy would be living in the same home as a companion at his own home!.

One afternoon, while entering the hall, Gillu saw the newcomer standing between Ramu’s Legs, suddenly and of-course pretending it as “unintentional” Gillu dashed forward, and doing this, was making a low pitch cute noise.

 While growling, Gillu started building castles in the air and visualizing the newcomer going out of his way of happiness BUT a timely kick from Ramu, sent Gillu rolling in the opposite direction . Gillu gathered his restover dignity and picked himself up and went out.Lapped a little water from the garden tap, dug up his leftover bone from the jasmine bed, went to the tin shade near the garage and laid down there.
