Sugar, Spice And A Diagnosis

It was just the start of eve. And, Madhu was already feeling tired towards her way home !!!!! A simple puff of a cigarette and she feels like she has reached heaven in any problem !!!!!

She is a doctor herself. Still, she does not know the aid as to what can stop and distance her from this terrible habit of smoking. The main reason is, she doesn't want to leave smoking from the heart. And that is the reason she is missing an aid for 19 years !!!!!! Yeah! You got that right! She has been smoking in all these 19 years of work life. But today, actually it was quite stressful for her. She just got rid of all her piles of prescribing medicines, tests done, minor operations and that is enough to load the mind of you readers. There's way more. But I will not kill you guys right away. Do not take so much stress and not too fast too. Take it slow. Maybe you are able to gulp it down? She has treated patients at a continuous rate over the past three days ...

So, now only rest and fun is what she can think of !!! After all, she is going to her 'Mamar Bari' and it will be a new year in a week's time. Everyone would be enjoying 2019's comeover as everyone sorrowfully bids adieu to 2018 !!!!!!! She was thinking of all these a while back...

Next, she took out a book and started reading it. One page, two pages, three pages...

When she woke up, it was time for dinner !!!!! She was quite hungry anyways. She had prepared herself her favourite kofta and rice before getting to the station so that she could have dinner with less junk, health and taste in peace.

She took out her box and started eating like a tiny, cute demon who was quite hungry...

Now it was time for the real night time. I mean 'Dream' Cinema time! So, next, she took out her blanket and pillow and made herself bed !!!!!

Time for the second round of good night !!!

She closed her eyes and thought of her mom, dad a while-who have been away from her for months due to her work and fame. She missed them dearly and they missed her too. A drop of tear rolled down her cheeks and she tried to keep her eyes closed as much as possible so that she could forget all this sorrow !!!!!! But however, she could not sleep. She was thinking of Mridula also. Mridula was her only beloved younger sister. She did not know why, but she was constantly getting more and more eager to meet her close ones. Or either getting more prone to a-'wanting-to-go-home-syndrome'...

However, it was almost midnight when her eyes wished to rest. She was sleeping quite peacefully when all of a sudden, she fell from the berth bed and the train came to an unexpected halt. She saw the train had come to a stoppage just, not any station. She wondered, why so? And it was only 5'o'clock. She brushed up with a fearful heart and came down to buy some tea. As soon as she got the cup of tea the train again gave an unexpected start, before time. Madhu ran, all her soul, out but could not catch the train. Since her backpack and everything was there she got worried. She informed the station master about it and the station master ordered someone to transfer all her belongings to the next train. It would be arriving in 3 hours time. Madhu got sad upon learning the fact, she would be reaching her Mamar-Bari so much late and that dream had already made her night so worse...

It went like this ...

Madhu was enjoying some quality time with Mridula and her parents when suddenly something crashed on her 'dreams' movie watching cinema theatre's screen and it went all black. When it revived again, she was in the graveyard crying upon her parents and Mridula's grave. Then she handed a knife to a tall black person who was blowing out steam from his head. He just opened their graves and began to stab the dead bodies. Madhu was already at a half fainted condition and did not know what was happening around, and it went all black again...

She was quite anxious about seeing such a weird dream. As soon as she would reach her destination, she decided to consult an astrologer first and make out what her dream meant !!!!!!!! 

After all the hustle and bustle, she finally came to her destination all safe and sound.

She went to a nearby astrologer's chamber and consulted him. He said that this dream meant somebody close to her has surely died, she was very close to them but when the mishap took place, sadly she was unconscious of the fact they were going to die. And as soon as she heard this judgement and she began growing cold, the newspaperwalah threw the newspaper to that astrologer's house and shouted out loud !!! "Paper!!!!!! There was a train accident today. Surely read that article !!!!!!"

Madhu opened up to read. She got another sheer shock, when she saw it was the same vehicle she was travelling on first and thanked god, she got off it !!!! The paper consisted of her name too !!!!!! Then it stated that three people alone were travelling on that train. They died in the accident. Madhu felt so sorry for them. She wished she could have known and helped them out. It was written that one of them was a "senior citizen" couple, another was a young working lady. The couple were - Madhumanti and Partha Chatterjee !!!! And the working woman was Mridula Chatterjee !!!! She then realised mamma -papa and Mridula had informed her they were also coming to 'Mamar Bari ' by train. But it was so unfortunate she didn't even realise that it was the same train though she had felt so sad upon hearing it was the same timed train.

Her eyes went all black again !!!!! And she woke up with a sudden trait of fear !!!!

Then she saw it was all just a dream !!!!! She laughed at herself. She thought maybe she had eaten too much malai kofta last night, and the cream may have been heavy on her and that is why ..... 

 

She could not complete her sentence, her smile faded, as she was holding the newspaper in hand ... And we know that we will have to tell nothing more ..... Her eyes went all black again.

Was there someone who accompanied her in her dreams in the dream train journey? Who was it then? God knows !!!!

Wait a second !!!!!! Maybe death?
