I was at the store one day when someone I didn't recognise pointed at me and yelled, “That her!”. This was 48 hours before I was captured and kept in a dark room. Those were the only last words I remember before being hit hard on my head and blanking out. My hands were tied with ropes that were cutting them in. My mouth was dried and I could not scream.
Suddenly, a may of light peeked in the room straight on my face and my head started throbbing because of sudden light after days. A tall man entered the room, but I could not see him because of the dark. Then there was a click of switches and the room was glowing with all the lights. I saw the man but could not recognise him. He had a glump face and eyes that were awake for a longer time than they should have been.
The man had an ID clung to his shirt pocket. I focussed hard with my half opened eyes to read his identity. I was taken aback seeing he was a police officer. I asked him, “How could you possibly kidnap a woman for days being a police”? "I was frustrated and was yelling at the top of my voice. He stared at me with his dead eyes and said, “If you don't remember those who captured you from the store were your own goons to whom we had paid to get to their Boss, that is you”. I was confused as to what he was saying. I explained that you are mistaken and the goons have lied and probably left away somewhere with their crime. He told me that they were behind bars and that I joined them soon after I told them the reason behind planting a bomb at a public place making me a terrorist. The bomb was diffused but there was tension all over.
I was clueless about everything and had no idea as to how I even got in this situation. I told him that I was out of town when this occurred but he was not ready to listen to even a single word. Then suddenly the door opened with a ‘THUD’ and a younger cop appeared. He just said a few words and the glum cop was filled with guilt. The cop had said, “we have caught the wrong woman”. The glum face cop was taken aback by such a big mistake and I was completely shaken for experiencing something I did not deserve.
They showed me the picture of the criminal and for a second even I thought that was me. We looked so similar and I damned myself for looking similar to such a criminal but it was not my fault anyways.
The Cops gave me their apologies and dropped me back to my house. I wished them luck for finding a similar looking girl and was relaxed being back at my house after four days.
