1998 TO 2014


Adhithya and Sakthivel were non-identical twin brothers, born to their rich parents in Erode. Their father was a leading financier in the district, and they lived in Ram Nagar. 30 APRIL 2019 TO MAY 8, 2019


SANGU NAGAR RESIDENCE


The next day, Adhithya's family throws him a large birthday party at their mansion. Dharshu's friend Vishalakshi worries after finding an email between Dharshini and Adhithya discussing the BDSM contract. But Dharshini assures her by saying, "My relationship with Adhithya is a vanilla one, Vishalakshi."


Meanwhile, Adhithya and Dharshini announce their engagement to their respective families. While Adhithya's family accepts, Dharshini's family hesitates due to caste and cultural differences. However, he made them understand that "love doesn't need any caste barriers except religion barriers." I hope you'll accept this marriage."


Eventually, Dharshini's father, Suryanarayanan, and Dharshini's elder sister are convinced and impressed with Adhithya's approach. They nodded their heads for the marriage.


At the same time, Aishwarya, who wanted to marry Adhithya to amass his wealth (as per the orders of his estranged mother), angrily confronts Gobika.

Adhithya said in everyone's presence, "Aishu." You taught me how to take control of my own life. But no one taught me to love like Dharshu did. I know that my mother's family is always money-minded, and so are you. But never know that you all will stoop this low."


Adhithya's grandparents (Karuppuswamy and Chinnamaal) overhear the argument and are furious that Aishwarya preyed on their grandson to amass the hard-earned wealth as per Geetharani's instructions. After slapping her across the face, Chinnamaal rails at Aishwarya for her actions and orders her out of her family's life for good. She leaves in disgrace, and Sakthivel confronts Adhithya about it.


After telling Sakthi the whole story, he decides to end his business relationship with Aishwarya and give back the salon to her. Adhithya takes Dharshini to the boathouse nearby the Cauvery River at Pallipalayam, which has been decorated with flowers and soft lights. He proposes properly with a ring by telling her, "Dharshu. I wasn't expecting you. I didn't think that we would end up together. The single most extraordinary thing I have ever done with my life is fall in love with you. I have never seen anyone so completely, loved so passionately, and protected so fiercely. "I love you."


Dharshu accepts his love proposal by telling him, "Adhithya." You are the closest to heaven that I'll ever be. "I love you." They share a lip lock.

The next day, Dharshu and Adhithya's marriage happens in a grand manner, with both families taking part in the marriage. The mehendi ceremony is held. During the ceremony, Adhithya applied henna to Dharshu's hands and feet.


(This beautiful event takes place usually in the evening amidst a lot of dancing and music by the family members and friends.)


Dharshini has to sit for hours to get the mehendi art done, and many of the female guests also get the mehendi art done on at least one hand.


This joyous celebration is often complemented with the singing of traditional songs as well as the playing of traditional music instruments like the dholak.


The next day, a sangeet ceremony is held. It's probably the most fun Hindu pre-wedding ceremony.


Traditionally, the sangeet ceremonies should be a part of the formal engagement event. However, in recent times, it has been conducted individually. Thus, the fun of the wedding extends one more day with this celebration. Earlier, sangeet ceremonies were only part of a North Indian Hindu wedding. Now, this fun event has made its presence felt even in South India.

Dharshini and Adhithya forgot about the wedding jitters for some time after seeing this event. Special themes were chosen for this occasion, and dance performances were prepared by both family members. On the third day, a Tilak ceremony is held between two families. Since it's the first step to the bond between the two families, This auspicious event takes place at Adhithya's residence. There, the male members of the bride's family visit to put Kumkum, or vermilion, on Adhithya's forehead. While Sakthivel and Vishalakshi danced and sang songs to cheer the couples.



After the Tilak ceremony, the Haldi ceremony is held before their wedding day. (One can find variants of this auspicious event in different parts of the country.) In this ceremony, a paste of Haldi is applied to Adhithya and Dharshini's bodies.


The Haldi ceremony is directly connected with beautifying the bride and the groom for their big day. (The colour yellow is also considered auspicious and thus is said to ward off evil.)


After these ceremonies, Dharshini and Adhithya get married according to Hindu tradition. A post-wedding reception is held to introduce Dharshini to Adhithya's community with dance, music, and a grand festival. Outside Adhithya's wedding ceremony, Dharun Joseph secretly watches the party. Since he was the one who sabotaged Adhithya's helicopter, he has sworn revenge.

MAY 20, 2019


SANGU NAGAR, ERODE DISTRICT


Sai Adhithya and Dharshini return to Sangu Nagar, Erode, after a long honeymoon. Adhithya is upset to find that Dharshini has kept her maiden name at work. After some resistance, Dharshini relents and changes her name at work to Adhithya after realising how important it is to Adhithya. As a belated wedding gift, Adhithya gives Erode Independent Publishing to Dharshini and plans to rename it Sai Publishing.


While Adhithya is on a business trip in New Delhi, Dharshiningoes out for a drink with Vishalakshi, doing so against Adhithya's wishes. Returning home, she finds that her former boss, Dharun Joseph, who was fired for attempting to sexually assault her, has been apprehended by the security staff. Angry with Dharshini for defying him, Adhithya cuts short his New Delhi business trip and returns to Erode. Furious that Dharshini reneged on her promise to have Vishalakshi over rather than go out, an upset Adhithya sulks while Dharshini sleeps.


"Why are you dominating me like this, Adhithya?"


"In what way am I dominating you?" Is restriction for a few bad? "Is that a mistake, Dharshini?"


"Oh? for a few things. Since our marriage, you have never allowed me to go freely. Is that called restriction? No. It's dominance and over-possessiveness. "You are controlling me like you are controlling a dog in the house, Adhi," said Dharshini.


In tears and anger, Dharshini continued: "Please adhi." "I wanted more freedom and access to my friends."

Few months later, Adhithya surprises her with a trip to Assam with Vishalakshi, Sakthivel Aadharsh, Deepika (the adopted younger sister of Adhithya and Sakthivel), and Somwiya's brother, Arjun. While there, Sakthivel proposes to Vishalakshi, and she accepts.


Meanwhile, Dharshini's father is in a medically-induced coma after a car accident. When he awakens a few days later, Dharshini and Adhithya arrange to move him to Erode to recover. It is also Dharshini's birthday weekend, and Adhithya surprises her with all her family and friends at dinner. He gives her a charm bracelet with the charms representing all their "firsts," including an ice cream cone to represent their "vanilla" relationship. Adhithya also gives her an Audi R8.


THREE DAYS LATER


JULY 28, 2019


Three days later, when Dharshini was cooking delicious food for Adhithya, she suddenly vomits in her washbasin. So, Vishalakshi takes her to a doctor, where Dharshini learns that she is pregnant. Adhithya angrily accuses her of getting pregnant on purpose and leaves. He returns early the next morning, drunk, claiming, "Dharshini. Either you will choose the baby, and I believe it to be a boy. Or choose me."


"Adhithya. It could be a girl." But he refuses to accept that due to his sexist and chauvinistic nature.

Dharshini feigns illness and returns home to escape her bodyguard, Dinesh. She takes a gun and goes to the bank in Thindal. While collecting the money, the suspicious bank manager calls Adhithya, who believes Dharshini is leaving him.


To protect Deepika's life, Dharshini lies to Adhithya in tears, saying: "Yes, Adhithya. I am leaving you to raise my baby alone."


Now, Dharun instructs Dharshini to leave her phone, but she tricks him by taking the bank manager's phone instead and dropping it in the trash. She leaves via the bank entrance to a waiting car, shocked that Dharun Joseph's accomplice is Sruthi, her co-worker.


When handing over the money, Dharun tries to kill Dharshini out of vengeance for losing his job, causing Sruthi to feel guilty for being involved. Angered by his behaviour and worried about hurting Dharshini, Sruthi argues with Dharun. On the ground and bruised, Dharshini shoots Dharun in the leg. As she starts to black out, she hears Adhithya calling her name.


THREE DAYS LATER


AUGUST 4, 2019


CARE 24 HOSPITALS, ERODE


Dharshini wakes up three days later in the hospital with Adhithya at her side in Care 24 hospitals at Erode. Though he is angry at Dharshini's recklessness and still anxious about fatherhood, he realises how important their baby is to her, and they reconcile.


Dharshini returns home the next day.


At home, Adhithya tells Dharshini, "My cousin Aishwarya and my mother Geetharani are curses to this family, Dharshu. I was seduced by Aishwarya at the age of 13. Though she was bad, she helped me learn to take control of my life by introducing me to the world of BDSM. If she had not intervened, I would still be plagued with horrible memories of my mother and would have never been able to control my life." Dharshini feels guilty for her behaviour when he explains how he ended up seeing Aishwarya.


Meanwhile, Adhithya had been looking for his psychiatrist, Dr. Janani, because he needed help, and when he could not contact her, he wound up at Aishwarya's salon to talk to someone about his problems.


Aishwarya happened to be at the salon while she was closing. She knew Adhithya and Dharshini had a fight about the pregnancy. She took him to her favourite bar for a drink and to help him relax. Although she made a pass at him, Aishwarya realised that Adhithya loved Dharshini and finally agreed to leave on good terms, in tears.


He reassures Aishwarya that she did the right thing to call him out for his behaviour because Dr. Janani was right that he still has a lot of growing up to do. The next day, a furious Adhithya discovers from Sachin and Geetharani that Aishwarya's ex-husband, Arun, had bailed Dharun Joseph out of jail out of spite for her affair with Adhithya.


Adhithya tells Dharshini: "After learning about the affair, Arun severely beat Aishwarya and divorced her, Gobika." Despite Adhithya's urging, Aishwarya refused to press charges against Arun out of guilt for the affair.


Adhithya and Sakthivel retaliated by buying out Arun's logging company to sell it off.


"Adhithya bro. "Good news," said Sachin.


"What's that, bro?" asked Sakthi and Adhithya.


"Sruti confessed to the police that she had been blackmailed by Dharun Joseph to be his accomplice."


"What's her fate, Sachin, bro?" asked Dharshini, who feels sad about her.


"It remains a mystery, Dharshini."


THREE YEARS LATER


MARCH 6, 2022


ERODE


Seven months later, Dharshini and Adhithya have a son named Adarsh. Two years later, Dharshini is six months pregnant with their second child, a daughter whom they decide to name Adharshini. Sakthivel and Vishalakshi are married and have a two-month-old daughter named Manikavalli.


After having sex on June 6, 2022, around 11:30 p.m., Adhithya and Dharshini are getting ready to celebrate Adarsh's second birthday with their family and friends around 12:15 a.m.
