Rigid Decision
Rigid Decision

There was a fairly middle-class family from extreme south India which had migrated in search of bread and butter. The master of the family was young educated man who came to Maharashtra in search of job. He wasn’t be so highly educated youth so that he would get job easily anywhere. So, he was just in search of job in small town of Wardha district. He faced an interview in the cotton company which had more than three thousand employees. He was appointed as accountant in the company. He had three sons. They were staying in a residential quarter of company in the same town. His all sons would go in the school in the same town in the reputed school of the company. As time elapsed, all of them completed their education with flying colors up to graduation. His eldest son got job in nationalized bank through competitive examination. But he married with south Indian girl of his community who took him to their state on transfer. Middle son completed his post-graduation in science. Ho got job in a fairly big village as junior lecturer in the same area. He was quite happy. The youngest son completed his engineering and absorbed as fat cat in multinational company where he proved his efficiency and worthiness. The management appreciated his talent, hard work. Sincerity and efficiency. The management offered him the job in California in united states of America. He went there and impressed the local management by his extra ordinary talent. He was offered an executive post with all facilities in the company. He got married with a American girl who was the lovely girl of the boss. Meanwhile, his elder brother also got job as senior lecturer in the city. The parent was very happy by the achievement of their kids.
They had extreme affinity of their home town in their home state. The master of family was retired from the job. Long absence makes heart grow fonder. So, the couple decided to went back to their home town. They wanted to spend their remaining life in the shelter of their relatives in the soil as they were deprived from it for longer time. His middle son saw eye to eye with their views as happy heart was a full of purse. So, they went back to their home state. Unfortunately, the wife of master had severe ill health thereafter. Their eldest and middle son were bound to serve their mother. But his eldest son and his wife were employees, so they couldn’t give their required services to her. But their middle son had a very strong bonding with her mother. So, he decided to leave his job of senior lecturer. He came back to his parent where he was recruited as post graduate teacher in some reputed school. Though both brothers were giving their services to their mother, but their mother wasn’t getting any relief from health problem. Doctor also expressed his unwillingness about the patient. He told them that she couldn’t recover from the present state. It would be either stable or go worst with time. Let’s hope for best and prepare for the worst. She would be bed ridden till her last breath.
Her middle son was still unmarried. His mother wanted to see her daughter -in-law before her death. Since her son had great affinity towards his mother, he decided to get married to fulfill her last wish. So, his relatives brought some proposal. He selected one of the proposals. One day, girl’s father came them to see the boy for her girl. He had seen his bed ridden mother and he was impressed by the services and salifies of the son. He had made the firm determination to accept him as his son-in-law. He got married. After few months his parent was nowhere in this world.
He had a son. He was very happy in his life. He was happier as he could serve his tired old parent. His son became the soft -ware engineer. Firstly, he served in some Indian companies in the state. But few years later, he went to some multinational bank in Canada. He was shocked but got control over the situation. He seemed to be happy as tide and time wait for no man. He also went Canada as a tourist after his retirement. Desperate time calls for desperate measures. He wanted that his son should get married with a girl from either India or like his son who came from India to Canada for same intention. So he was making effort for girl who was interested to go abroad So that the couple would do job together in Canada. One such a proposal came to him whose mother was ready for relation. He had also sympathy towards that family as she had no father. But the girl’s mother-imposed condition that her daughter wouldn’t cook after marriage as she could not know cooking. So he kept the proposal to her mother that she should give her training for cooking before marriage. But his justified proposal was discarded. Another proposal came to them. He accepted their proposal. His son got married.
After few months, newly married couple kept a proposal for purchasing a flat in Canda. They demanded very huge cash for the proposal to the master of the family. It was tough proposal to accept their demand. After giving such huge amount to them, they would be money less thereafter. Furthermore, his son was in abroad. He had very few years’ services in his job. The couple’s take home salary was very insufficient to repay the monthly installment of barrowed loan. It is better to be safe than sorry. He made them understand that It wasn’t be their right decision for such huge investment. He told his son that he had a flat when he was on verge of retirement decade. He put a question mark to his son who would help them in the event of medical emergency in their life. His son hadn’t enough money after taking such huge loan. He gently made them agree to drop their proposal. if so, he did it. Then, whole family would be protected from coming financial crises. He also told his son that he had paid huge amount on his education as well as on marriage. He had given all those things in his life which was most essential to him. If any wrong things would happen with them, then all would be in severe problem. He told his son that he had purchased the flat for him just few years before his retirement. He was still paying remain balance of loan through his pension. So, he suggested that they should wait for their own flat. An ounce of protection is worth to pound of cure. Firstly, they should make hay when sun is shining. Whatever they had would be their after them. Though his son and daughter-in-law were cold feet due to denial of money, but he was very rigid on his stand. He was fully supported by his wife on his stand which was most important thing for him. In fact, Indian mothers have a blind love for their sons. They often forced their husbands on such delicate family matters usually. She told her son that his father was absolutely right. Learn walk before you run. She taught a practical lesson to her son to learn from the incident. One shouldn’t show the blind love for their kids. In fact, she was a very wise lady as she saved her husband as well as his son from the ill incident in future. She proved through this decision that She had equal love for both.
