When life swings between living and death it is a feeling which can be described only by very few words .words that smell death and brain fogged ....not knowing what else to do but being so high above in the sky... My Mind was hilarious when it was about to land down when the remembrance of a tabletop made my heart jump out in joy ...and then it went so dark frozen..and being medical personnel the only medical personnel was shuddered dealing with a dying man in the cockpit the pilot of that flight ...trying my best with AED and rest of all what I have and what I know to use.

Meera just dashed into the cockpit surprising me, my school buddy, a great leader, I knew Meera won't rest back ...out re union function at college was going to a different point. I knew Meera is the only person who could just handle this other than anyone but with pain, I realised she can't see with one eye.

Meera Vasudev was the best in the Aviation Academy and then when she got an opportunity to join Airforce she wrote to us with mirth that she is going to dedicate her life to the country. Major Vasudev her father was not happy, as he lost his only son at the border a few years before. But who could stop Meera she did what her heart and soul said to be true . She was our 9ride, the great hawk ...some called her.

Meera loved challenges and when challenges enthralled her like kite she soured high...but the first Airforce display of women cadets went far from her battles.

She was over a village, a playground full of children, her commanding officer shouted her to land that moment ...and prepared for a crash landing but Meera with her leaking fighter jet went to the sea and landed herself burnt and her right eye gone forever, but she did save the place where she landed.

Every battle and every journey often depends on the pilot. In our very body, even a strong pilot of the soul can guide us and make us safe. Krishna was Arjuna s Sarathi, he never took an armament but his sharp intellect, determination and will took Arjuna to the right place in the right way. He was the hinge joint, kingpin of that all happenings. Now, this was not the time to think about all that but our flight was out of control and the base station was in fear and shock. Whom. else can I think .other than God, the pilot?

I saw Meera slowly take control of the machines and the flight slowly gaining control. I was continuing resuscitating the pilot ...from going to cardiogenic shock.

From the base station I could hear some officer of the flight yell who is in control ...after a lot of silence, one of the air hostesses said Meera Vasudev.

What was the response of the blind girl, oh no she is banned from flying, she is not permitted ask her to get off

The air hostess said Sir and give it to whom, the almost dead pilot Steve, or a passenger, now the flight is slowly balancing, the pandemonium and alarm it set are coming down. So let Meera do the job

The main yelled ...she is blind.

I can't risk the life of my passengers, now I could not hold on and I told him your passengers are at risk and she is your only option, and remember Mr .how and for what cause she lost her eyes, she has lost her one eye, not her aviation skills.

I looked at Meera, she was least bothered about talking, she was a true pilot and she wanted to end the journey perfectly, making every single life safe. She looked at us in between and winked her only eye.

She was in control.

The flight went through huge turbulence yet she got it out fighting inch by inch. Now she got the signal to land the original pilot revived a bit.

The flight landed, children, old people, young men all ran to her and I saw that old pilot, the airforce officer of my Nation hug them, she was not bothered by the enquires she would be dragged into...she was the Sarathi and did her dharma. The safe journey of passengers ...
