Nodody Loves Me

Ramesh was a village boy who joined a new job in a city. He was a Customer Welfare Officer in a Car Manufacturing Company. His parents were happy that their child will live a secure life now. But the problem was Ramesh was not able to speak English. All his new office colleagues were highly perfect in spoken English. In that office, where all the employees were speaking English, only Ramesh was speaking Hindi all the time. 

Rest of the employees were ignorant towards him, as he was not able to speak English. Where all employees said "Hi", "Hello" & "What's App Guys" to each other, only Ramesh said, "Namaste Ji" with folded hands to everyone. Other employees never wanted to be with him. They took their lunch separate; they enjoyed quality time with each other excluding Ramesh & never invited him to parties or birthdays. People greeted each other as they reached office every day, but nobody bothered to greet Ramesh ever. Ramesh felt guilty. "Am I so unintelligent", he often thought. Sometimes he even cried in a separate room thinking that if he complains, people will say that he is hiding his incapability behind tears. Nobody loved him. Sometimes he felt that he should leave his job, but the thought of losing constant source of income stopped him from doing so. One newly joined employee once asked an old employee, "Why are you greeting everyone except Ramesh?" The other employee said, "No need. If you say Good Morning to him, he will say Dandwat Pranaam Sir.", and he started laughing like mad. 

Time went on like this & gradually It was end of financial year. The award of best employee was to be announced by the chairman. Everyone gathered in the auditorium where prior arrangements of sitting & lunch were done. Two anchors were coordinating the event, speaking in English completely. Ramesh was also there. Seeing him rest of the employees said, "What are you doing here Ramesh? Do you think you will get any award. Why you came here to waste your time?" Everyone started laughing. Ramesh did not say a word.

After sometimes, the "Employee of the Month" was announced. The anchor said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, hold your breath. The employee of the month is Mr. Ramesh." Everyone was shocked to hear the name of Ramesh. Ramesh's boss called him on stage & honored him. After that the boss delivered a speech. He said,"I am the boss & a boss is always aware about what is going on in his office." The employees were surprised that why the boss is saying like this.

He further continued, "I know all of you do not love Ram

esh. You ignore him as he cannot speak English. We are car manufacturers & most of our customers are Hindi Speaking. As a customer relationship execution, Ramesh's behavior towards customers was highly satisfactory. He used to explain our products and policies to customers in simple Hindi language that helped them to understand everything.

Always remember, there are many millioners in the country who are living life king-size but cannot speak English. You know why, because English is not the requirement of their business. Ramesh is feeling that nobody loves him. Is this your attitude towards each other as a part of same organization? A humble & decent guy has become a depressed man thinking that nobody loves him. 

Do you know what is true love? True love is when people inside the organization respect each other. True love is when employees help each other in bad situation. True love is when employees together take their breakfast, lunch & dinner on same table sharing tiffin with each other. True love is when one employee is not perfect in something, rest of the employees tell him the methods of becoming perfect. And that is known as a Corporate Culture full of love. This is called true love."

The boss looked at Ramesh & said,

" Ramesh, do you why they don't love you? Because they don't know what the definition of love is." Saying these words, the boss moved towards his cabin. All the employee looked towards Ramesh who was standing in the corner like a sweet humble man, as he always has been. They just rushed towards Ramesh & said, "We are sorry Ramesh? You are really important for us. We all love you Ramesh. We are very sorry for our behavior.

We never understood your emotions. Since you are from village, we never considered you one of us. We always ignored you; we always humiliated you. But you are so humble that you never reacted. How can you be so nice & down to earth Ramesh?

But today we all are saying it together that we love you Ramesh & we will keep loving you forever."

Ramesh's eyes filled with tears. He was quietly waiting for this day to come in his life. He finally realized that he is also an important part of the organization & everybody loves him. But the deepest pain of his heart was this day took one year to come in his life. How much ignorance, hatred & loneliness he has felt during last one year & how much it has broken him from inside, only Ramesh knew it, nobody else.

But he was very happy that day. Ultimately, he got that love that he desired.
