Nightmare

I woke up with a different surrounding, a weird aura blowing with the wind. I scrunched my nose, stretched my body, and walked towards the window. The scene around was full chaos, people were shouting with joy. And some of them were fighting for a piece of cloth. I looked around and found a cute little girl, she smiled at me. "What's going on here?" I asked. She jumped with enthusiasm and said. "There's magic in the air. " I scoffed at her comment and went inside, closing the window behind. The statement was still running through my brain. "It won't hurt to try. " I convinced myself to believe what the girl said. I looked around the house and thought about what should I wish for. I have a lot of money, I have gold, I have a big house and so many workers around.

I huffed in frustration and held my head in defeat. Then my eyes caught something. A picture frame sitting on the desk, it was a picture of me with my parents. A single tear left my eye and I closed my eyes hugging the picture. "I wish you both were here. " Then I heard creaking of the door and my parents came outside from one of the rooms. I was shocked to see them after 10 years and ran to hug them. I sobbed as I melted into their embrace. "Don't leave me again. " I cried. "We never left honey, we're in your heart. " They replied. "I won't let you go. " I held their arms tightly. "No son, look around this is not where we belong and remember what we taught you. " My father said. "We should never be selfish for our pleasure. " I mumbled. My parents nodded and caressed my head, I was broke to lose them again. I closed my eyes and said. " I wish that everything goes back to how it was before. " And cried. A bright light shone and when I opened my eyes, I was still in bed.

I looked around and saw my window open. "Nightmare. " I scoffed and got up. As I made my way outside to get busy with my work, a beautiful sun was smiling at me and the air was cold but relaxing. Someone caught my eye, a girl was standing across the road. She was the same girl I saw in my dream. She smiled at me and said. "You made the right choice. " My eyes were wide opened hearing her statement. I moved forward to approach her but a vehicle crossed at the same time. And in the next moment the girl was gone leaving me dumbstruck.
