Jack lives with his grandmother in an isolated house. During her birthday, his brother James and his sister Lily come to their house for the birthday celebration. James is married to Helena, who hates the grandmother due to her nagging nature. Lily too hates her grandmother due to Lily's relationship with Mike, which, the grandmother disapproves.

James gives a box full of sweets as the birthday present which the grandmother does not eat as she is diabetic. Instead, Jack eats all the sweets. The next day, he finds himself in jail. James comes to visit him in the jail and tells him that he would never forgive him for the crime he has committed. Ram, a lawyer and friend of Jack, comes to help him. Ram tells Jack that he is accused as a drug addict who killed his grandmother at the night of her birthday. He then shows him the photos taken by police at the murder site which shows Jack lying next to the grandmother's dead body with a blood stained knife in his right hand. The police couldn't find evidence of someone else's presence in the house and was convinced Jack did the murder. But, Jack immediately deduces that someone else did the murder as he is left handed. He also learns from the medical report that he was drugged that night.

Jack then remembers that he was fasting the whole day and the only thing he ate was the sweets given by James. He informs the same to the police.Police reaches James house and upon searching finds the same drug in his house. James has no clue about the drugs and tells the police that he left the Jack's house that night earlier as he got a call from his office. It turns out Helena mixed the drugs in the sweets in an attempt to kill the grandmother by overdose and she confesses the same when James was being taken into custody.

James tells the police that Lily was still present there when he left the house. Now, the police suspect that Lily was there during the murder. They find the taxi she used to go from the house and finds out that she booked the taxi ten minutes after the time of murder. They interrogate her and she admits that she killed the grandmother, framed an intoxicated Jack and wiped all the evidence proving her presence. Jack is freed and both Lily and Helena are arrested for murder and attempt to murder respectively.
