Love By Chance

He was from a family of seven, battling against poverty, and he climbed the education pyramid. He used to eat one idly, and a cup of tea for a day with a focus on his future. Day and night, he slogged to attain the degree and to become the first-degree holder of his family.

He was tall and handsome but restrained himself to fall in love. It was the year 1984 when he enrolled himself in MBA. He believed that his uncle would help him in his studies, but he was dismayed. Days passed, and he did a part-time job, by keeping himself on track to success. As he was waiting for his bus, he accidentally collided with a girl while getting toward the bus. The documents got scattered, and many people were at the bus stop, but none of them cared. He said sorry to her, and both of them bent and started picking up the papers, one by one.

She was doing MA in English, at the same college, where he hailed. None of them saw each other they were busy picking up the paper, and finally, They thanked and left. Days passed; months passed, and they often used to meet each other as both of them were from the same college. They got to know, each other, she was from a wealthy background with a passion for literature and media. He shared his story with her.

Soon they became close friends. One day he fell ill and got admitted to the hospital. There was no one to look after him. She came to know about it, and she was rushed to the hospital. She stayed there and took care of him. Not sure why she liked him when she hailed from a big family and was a famous personality in the college, with so many boys behind her.

The exams, got over he got placed with meager pay. She was in touch with him, even in the absence of technology gadgets. In a decade, where women faced issues, and get scrutinized with cast and character assassination. She followed him diligently and became his backbone of him. 

Finally, she confessed her love to him; he blinked at her with no idea what was going on. Initially, he tried to convince her that it was friendship, but she was an adamant girl. She waited for him and rejected the high-profile grooms. 

He won all his battle and accepted her to be his better half. Indeed, she is the better half of him, both in love and confidence.

The couples live happily, though they don’t have a kid of their own, they are sharing their love with their adopted daughter. 

No one knows why love attracts people, especially the opposite poles of character and status. Love appeared unexpectedly, but still going strong with some hiccups in married life.

Please don’t reveal the secret, which both of them don’t know. It was his wink that captured her attention; 

she mistook it as his subtle communication for love, whereas he doesn't know he has "Blepharospasm" the involuntary blinking of eyes.

Sometimes being silent is better than reacting with emotions. Silence itself can attract love. 

Miscommunication created a beautiful relationship and established an undiscovered love within them.

No matter how many gadgets, comes and connects you, if hearts don’t connect, love can’t flourish. Communicate with hearts, to the extent required, too much possessiveness and taking for granted ruins life, and listen to the adventurous love stories of the geriatric as love is immortal, and not woven by technology and a materialistic world.
