Jungle Mayhem - Part 1

It was a lovely morning. The sun was shining , and the clouds were floating in the sky. I was still snoring in my bed , peacefully. Suddenly , the alarm rang. Rinnnggggg! I just hit the snooze button , because , I wanted to sleep a little bit more. But then , before I could sleep back again , the bell rang! Rinnnggggg!!

I knew it , no one was going to let me sleep till late ,today!! I just got up forcefully , and I opened the door. Of course , it was Julia!! "Woohoo! What's up, Revs?! How are you and were you still sleeping?! Oh come on , stop being a lazy kid!!" Julia screeched. If you ask me , she screeched really loudly. "Julia! Hey! I am good! What about you? And , I have told you at least ten times that my name is 'Reva' and not 'Revs'! I'm not lazy....it's just that...uh...er....." my voice trailed off.

Julia replied , "Okay , whatever! You know what , I on YouTube!! The channel's name is "Julia's Journeys" So , today , you and me are going to the jungle! So pack your stuff!"

"No , thanks!! I'm too busy to travel!! " I denied. But , Julia just ignored me , and then left my house! "Okay! Then I'll have to go with Julia!" I thought.

So , I packed my stuff : clothes , first-aid kit , water bottles , a tent ( for camping out) , mosquito repellent , raincoats ( because , you never know , it can rain anytime!) etc... After some time , I informed Julia that I was done packing my stuff , and we could leave. She told me in reply , "Okay , cool! Just come down!! I'm waiting!!"

So , I had no choice but to travel with Julia. I went down , and then , I spotted a thin man next to her. "Reva , this is our guide , Mr. Roy. He's going to guide us!!" She informed. I shook his hand politely. We sat in a bus which was painted with green and yellow stripes. Now , I want to make a personal note to myself : tell the municipality to repair the roads. Why? Because it was so bumpy!!!! 

"Okay , now I'm starting the camera for recording. Make sure you smile widely." Julia warned me. So , I made sure I was smiling really nicely. "Hey there , everyone!! This is Julia , and you are currently watching "Julia's Journeys" , Episode 1 , Live and Exclusive!! ," she announced. "So , everyone , today we're going towards the jungle , and here is my travel buddy , Reva!!"

She focused the camera at me , so I said , joyfully, "Hello , everyone!! Join us in our travels!! Stay tuned!!!" Julia paused the camera , and I sighed.

But , I must say , the bus ride was amazing. There were so many plants and birds!! Mr. Roy said , "This bird is called Blue Jay. Isn't it colourful? And , this plant is actually endangered. It is called as Hookers Lips. The flowers of this plant are shaped like lips. That's how it got it's name." Julia and I gasped in amazement. "Here we can see a bird named Blue Jay. This is a endangered plant named Hookers Lips." Julia spoke while recording the scenery with her camera. It was my turn next to say something , so I said , "Here we can even see a little sparrow....and there's a macaw! ! What's your favourite bird ? Comment below!!" 

After another 2 hours of recording and travelling , we decided to stop and have some snacks. "Here , have some energy bars , everyone !" Mr.Roy said. 

We had the energy bars. After that , we had some fruits. Soon , after another 2 hours , we reached the destination. The jungle was filled with greenery everywhere! It was an amazing view!! "Just look at the view , guys!! Now that we have reached the jungle , we attended going to take some rest and then we will continue our journey." Julia said , while recording with the camera. "Let me show you the trees more closely." She went closer towards the tree , but a large tarantula was hanging from it's branches. Julia was petrified ( P.S. Julia HATES tarantulas!!) , so she jumped back, but her camera slipped from her hands and it fell down and crashed into a thousand pieces!! CRASSSHHH!! "Are you okay ?" I asked , worried. "Yes! But my camera is broken!!! Oh nooooooo!!!! How will I record now ??" Julia wailed. "Just calm down! The important thing is that you are okay! It's alright , we can always come later next time! !" I said. "Wait , Julia , I have kept another camera in my backpack. From my many years of travel experience , I have observed that people always record their journeys. And many times , their cameras have broken! So , to be on the safer side , I just kept a camera! Here , take !" Mr.Roy said. Julia was so happy , she started jumping and shouting! But , her foot slipped and she fell down with a Bam!! "Owww!!My leg!! I think it's a sprain." Julia cried in pain. So , I quickly took out the relief spray , and sprayed it on her leg. After some time , Julia was ready to go. So , we kept walking and walking. I had also kept a small notebook , so I decided to write my experience in it. "We are in the jungle!! We are in the jungle!! Woo-hoo!!Woo-hoo!!" Julia sing-songed. 

"Maybe this journey isn't bad after all" I thought. I was enjoying the journey. Oh! If only I knew I was wrong!! We walked and walked for almost 3 hours or something, so we decided to set up our tents and sleep. After all , night had fallen. So , me and Julia were setting up the tents. But , suddenly , I tripped , and to prevent myself from falling , I held on to some leaves of a plant. Phew! I was saved! But after some time , I got allergic. I started scratching madly. "What's with the scratching , Revs?! Stop pretending and don't waste time! We're sleepy!!" Julia shrieked. I wanted to scream , I wanted to shout!!!! "Juliaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! I am not pretending. Understand?! I am allergic....could you please help me?!!" I shouted. "Woops...I am sorry , I didn't know!!" Julia replied. "Uh...here , I have an organic lotion. Just put it. It'll make you feel better. Want to know where I got it from?! I got it from my friend's mom's cousin's daughter's friend's dad's caretaker's daughter's son's sist-" Julia continued, but I interrupted her. "No! I don't want to know where this came from! Thanks for the lotion , by the way!" I screamed. Julia looked offended, so I had to apologise. The lotion worked , and my itching got better and better.

So , everyone were getting ready to sleep. But , Julia thought it was more important to tell the viewers about our plan. "Hey , guys! Now we're going to sleep!! But , to be honest , there's been a lot off rumble in the jungle!!"
