There was a boy named Raju, who completed his graduation & was waiting for interview calls from different organizations. He and his friends always fantasised about going to big cities & getting good job opportunities over there. You can call it peer pressure. Always looking for famous companies so that after joining those industries they can show off in front of their friends, family members & relatives. Because if you join some less popular company, you will lose your importance among relatives.

There was an industrial area very near to the city where he lived but he never cared for going to an area where there are less popular companies. He forwarded his resume to many organizations in big cities through the mail but nobody replied. Staying jobless for a long time was becoming painful for him. One useless kind of peer pressure was also stopping Raju to go to unknown companies & that was his relatives will definitely ask why he is not applying to bigger organizations & this will be an insult to him. But when nobody called him for an interview after submitting resumes to many popular companies, he finally made up his mind & went to a nearby industrial area.

The next day he took a bag, a bottle, and 50 copies of his CV & went to the local industrial area. As he entered the industrial zone, he was shocked to see the beauty of the place. Big Industries, systematically standing adjacent to each other, fully metaled roads with dedicated traffic authorities properly managing the traffic. It looked really beautiful.

Raju entered one of the industries involved in wood-cutting machine manufacturing. Such a beautiful industry. Machine parts were getting systematically manufactured at each section & then going out of the assembly line, a separate machine was solely involved in collecting the waste material, throwing it in the garbage & cleaning the spot. Raju was surprised to see such a well-maintained factory.

He requested one of the employees to meet the owner of the factory. Raju was sent to the owner's cabin. The owner was a kind-hearted person who welcomed Raju warmly. After the initial discussion, Raji said, "Sir I never came here to search for job opportunities. I thought that since it's a lesser-known area, I will not find good opportunities here. But this is really beautiful. So many industries, manufacturing so many things. Job opportunities are huge here."

The manager said, "Even I am surprised to see why local people don't come to join us. Due to this, we have to hire people from remote locations. It's a big financial burden. If local graduates of this city visit us, talk to us, and understand our business, we will definitely tell them about the golden opportunities present over here. And it will be a moral satisfaction for us too that the people of our city respect our business & ideas.

But see, I will not go door-to-door with every graduate & request him to join my organization. If my requirements are not getting fulfilled by the employees of my own city, I will hire people from some other city."

After listening to the manager, Raju realised his mistake. He was not using his own brain. Since everyone was not going to the local industrial area, he also never went there. In order to do anything creative & worthwhile in life, we must use our own brains, we must have our own ideas & we must have our own unique pattern of looking at various things around us. Because of this foolishness, people of that city are jobless but people from other parts of the country are getting good jobs in the same city.

That day Raju said to himself, "We all are followers & nobody is a leader. We never want to use our own mind, exploring things in our own unique manner & getting benefited. It is because we never focus on what we are capable of. We just follow what others do without any logical reason.

We call ourselves an Independent nation but are we really independent? No. We can't think on our own. Independent people are self-thinkers. They bring new creativity & innovation to the country. But what we are doing? Just because other people in our community are not grabbing a golden opportunity right in front of their eyes, we also started doing the same thing.

Our great freedom fighters took us out of the claw of slavery & made us an independent nation. But we forgot that they always believed that real independence should be in the thought process. Only then we will do creative things for our country & make our country prosperous."

Raju was a bit upset. Although it was a casual Industrial Visit, it transformed Raju from the inside & made him an independent man.
