HUNTER BECOMES PREY

                                   

EPISODE 1

It was the time of twilight. A glowing, soft light, coming directly from sky, scattering all over the ground, and the sun was preparing to set below the horizon and this was the most beautiful and regular alarm for Tom to start packing up his belongings and leaving his Mechanic shop(repairing of automobiles) and go to home.

Tom was a simple man but was famous in all over the town for his wittiness and ability of thinking on his feet. Many a times, people from the neighbourhood comes to him for solving their issues, either related to land or routine day-to-day problems.

Once, in the late evening, at around 9 PM, two thieves entered in a house of their colony whose owner went to a family function for seven days. The thieves after scrutinizing this isolation of house situation for four days, executed their plan to steal from that house on the fifth day. They parked their car, near to the road and went into the house armed with guns, knives.

The kids who were playing hide and seek at that particular time observed some sort of noise of moving objects here and there coming from the house. As it was the small colony and there were limited number of “houses and people”, so everybody knows about Everybody and everything. The Kids immediately informed all the residents of colony and in no time everyone were standing in front of the house and informed the police about it. The thieves became alert and scared after hearing the noise of the people.

Out Of Fear they did open Fire from their gun in the air and threatened the residents to vacate the colony in next five minutes and asked them to gather in the colony’s park which is at the center part of the colony, otherwise this time the open fire will be on people not in the air. Everyone was terrified by this sudden attack. Those who were saying very bravely to grab the thieves by breaking the door or by jumping off from the roof and trap them at the common visor, were the first one who took their nuclear family and run towards the park. The thieves also understood the gravity of the situation that they only had max. to max. 10 minutes and after that the police will come. They immediately did the math in their mind and estimate that they have next eight or nine minutes to grab all the things from the house.     

Tom while hiding behind a rock, looking all over around him and was thinking, about what can he do. In this chaos, he heard his mother, who was crying out his name in anger and fear for leaving the colony, standing with all his family members. He swiftly came from behind, kissed all his family members and asked them to just run to the park. After seven minutes, the thieves came out of the house and left the colony. But the people, out of fear, were still standing in the park only and waited for the police. And After 20 minutes Police came into the colony, Tom immediately went to the police and told them everything, The police after listening him, told the residents that they have brought the situation under control now and they can go to their houses. In the morning , the last night incident was the talk of the town in all the newspapers front page and breaking news of all news channels, about the open fire and the most strange thing in this news was that police, opposite to their reputation, were successful in catching the thieves at last night only.

Everybody was praising the police. At around 8:30 AM, the commissioner of police came into the colony and asked the kids, who were standing near a van in their school dresses at that time, about Tom’s house, the kids signaled him under the van with a laugh. The commissioner stood there in the confusing state but on that moment Tom came sliding from under the van and instructs the driver of the van to again start the van. The driver followed the instructions of tom and starts the engine. This time it worked and all the kids jumped with joy and hugged and kissed tom. Tom with love and care in his eyes asked them to quickly settle down in the car. Before stepping into the van, they told Tom that the commissioner was asking about him Tom folded his hands near his chest as the gesture of respect and welcome towards commissioner. From there, they went directly to Tom’s house to honour him for his bravery and for showing agility and cleverness in that dangerous situation. The commissioner told all the people and media which gathered around his house that after open fire, Tom while looking around for something, noticed one car, which was not belong to any Local resident of the colony, so he guessed that this car must belongs to thieves.

He quietly move towards the car, used his skills in starting the car without use of key and hide it in his house’s Garage. So, without car, the thieves could not hid or run far and this helped the police to catch them on the same night. Later, police estimated that the value of the car is around five lakh rupees which is equal to half the amount of the stuff, thieves stole from the house. The police, as the reward, gave the car to Tom, which is nowadays running on the path of school as the children’s car, to pickup and drop kids from school.
