Once in a sweet little town in England lived two boys, John and James. By some twist of life, the brilliant twins had been born in a poor family, but luckily, they had loving parents and felt not a need in life. They lived in a small, weather-beaten cottage. Back in those days, there wasn`t a concept of a private school, so the twins went to the same school that affluent children went to. John and James were incredibly smart and their classmates often came asking for homework. Being kindhearted, they often gave away their notebooks for a day or two to their classmates and in doing so, they became very popular indeed. In the same school studied a child named Ron, whose father was wealthy and prosperous. However, instead of being humble and helping his poor classmates, Ron was arrogant and conceited and loved bragging about his riches. One day, when John and James came back from school, while they were eating a piece of bread each (they didn`t have money to buy a proper lunch), their mother spoke to them, “My children, I have some disturbing news. Your grandmother is ill, and your father and I must go. Would you like to come with us?” The twins looked at each other. They had some work to complete and if they went to help grandma, they would have just a few days to complete that work. Their headmaster was quite strict and caned students who did not complete their work. Then they struck upon an idea-They could simply ask a classmate to give them their notebooks for work. So they said, “Yes, mother. We would like to go and help grandma.” Their mother smiled and kissed them. The next day, when they went to school to submit their leave application, they asked their classmates for help. Most classmates said, “Sure. We would love to repay you.” James thanked them. Soon, they had to leave for their trip. With the blessings of God, their grandmother soon became well again and it was time to return. As they were coming back, they saw a piece of paper flying in the air. Someone had scribbled a message for the twins on the paper. They read, “Hi, James and John. Zara here. Whenever you come back from your trip, you can come to my house and take my notebooks for your work. Bye.” They soon walked to Zara`s house and thanked her several times. She gave them her notebook and the headmaster did not hurt them. Meanwhile, Ron had also gone on a trip but no one volunteered to help him because of his nature. Those who hadn`t completed their work weren`t promoted to the next class and that was what happened with Ron.

Moral of the story: A friend in need is a friend indeed, helpfulness is always helpful to the person giving it and the person receiving it.
