Most of the time we have heard the wording that so and so had a golden heart. This means that the person has a heart that reaches out to people in trouble. On the other hand, when we say children have a heart of gold, we refer to their innocence. This is such story that is based on real life experience.

Diwali festival was round the corner. Ayush and his wife ananya were planning to buy new clothes and other goodies for their children Riya and atharv. They were planning to buy new items for their parents as well as for the home. Ayush was back home early from the Office. He wanted to take his young son to a textile shop owned by his friend Milind. The Shop was offering many discounts on purchases as well. He started to the shop along with his son. The shop was decked up for the occasion that is the festival and was thronged with customers of all ages and strata. As soon as Milind saw ayush he greeted him warmly and took him to his cabin. He served him refreshments and enquired the well-being of his family. Atharv was excited to see the goodies in the showroom and the different dresses displayed in the counters were so alluring. He wished his father would come out of his friend's cabin and start shipping. This was the reason they were there...

As he was thinking so his father and his friend came out of the cabin and headed to the counter where the garments were displayed. Ayush was checking the stock carefully and he chose few of them and kept aside before finalising. Just then the salesman came with a packet of chocolates and offered few to Atharv .Atharv did not hold it in his hands. Milind thought that Atharv needed his dad's permission and asked Ayush to ask his son to take the chocolates. Again Atharv said no I don't want them. Even after repeatedly asking him to take the chocolates when Atharv kept rejecting them it became a matter of ego being challenged. Ayush got a bit annoyed and asked Milind to pack the selected garments so that he could leave. Once the billing was done he started walking out of the Shop after the formalities. Atharv understood his father was angry but was quiet lest he would become more enraged with him.Once home Ayush asked his son as to why he did not accept the chocolates after repeatedly asking him to. The answer was so pure and innocent that Ayush forgot his anger and had a hearty laugh. The real cause was that since Atharv was a young kid his palms would not be able to hold more chocolates when compared Ayush. He expected that when he refused to accept the chocolates his father would do it for his sake. So the deal would be more profitable. Ofcourse Ayush was happy at his Son's innocence and intelligence and he was happy for one more reason even if it was not intended that chocolates would do more harm than good to the teeth .
