It all happened two years ago as she was preparing to get out of her work zone.

Jayne gracefully moved from one end of the room to the other packing her bags for she'd be flying out in two days time.

She sighed and looked out the window and wondered how Christmas would be like in the city. She had missed out on Christmas with her family the past five years and this one would be special with loved ones around all grown up and others grown older.

Her travel was made possible by her younger sibling who at that time said the money was out on loan. Sadly it slipped off her mind as you'd found out in this story of hers.

The day arrived and she sat gazing out into the sky watching the clouds sail passed her window. It was a beautiful morning the flight was delayed but at least she was on her way to the city she didn't mind.

At the airport she caught a cab home and smiled at the change that had taken place in the past five years. Her sons were there to take her home and they pointed out the new buildings like tall trees she was amazed at such development that had taken place so fast.

At home she was welcomed with a kitchen of pots and pans all left in the sink dishes to be washed and a disorganized house . She got straight into it cleaning up the entire house. The bathroom and toilet she decided to leave for the next day. That was her routine for the two weeks break in the city.

Not at all a break if you know what I mean, anyway back to the story.

All the while her younger sibling was boiling hot water to pour out on her for she had forgotten to repay the so called borrowed money. The day arrived for her to leave and she left with her sons.

After a month she got a text message asking for her money. It then dawned on her why she was treated the way she was back then while living in her sister's house. She became the cleaner and the chef for the two solid weeks. This was no break from work but another hectic day or rather hectic two weeks of work.

She could find no breathing space since she had to pay her son's fees for university and lived on the cheapest meals to survive. It was a pain to be treated as a stranger by her younger sister. She demanded her money be paid back or she'd take her to court. That was a long struggle for Jayne since her debts her high and she found no way and means to repay the money loaned.

Now on break again with her father she finds her sibling has not forgiven her. It makes me wonder how a biological sister can ask for repayment of money loaned. It's as if she made a loan with the bank. What a shame !

Her two weeks in the city is almost up and Jayne is yet to see her sister face to face. But the fact remains so clear she may never get to see her in person.

Forgiveness is so hard in her heart.

It might be in her life forever only time can tell if in her heart a space she will find to accept the fact that she earns more than her older sibling.

Jayne has plans to fix that part of life before the year ends. It will be a tough one but she is optimistic her plan will turn out fine. So she can find peace to move on with her life. Pay back her debts and forgive her sister for living with hate three years on.
