Family is Everything

Ramesh was living in a joint family & he was working as a Charterd Accountant in a highly reputed organization of his city. Great organization, great people,  great atmosphere. Everything was going fine when one day he heard a news that due to corona pendamic, his organization is not able to pay salaries to the employees so it has decided to fire the employees. Ramesh was worried by this news & to his surprise one day this news became reality. His boss called him & said, "Ramesh you are a great employee. I am highly satisfied with your work. But I am myself facing heavy losses & finally I have decided to close my entire firm.

I am extremely sorry to say this that after 7 days from now, the company will close. I know you are an intelligent person. Please search some other organisation for yourself. Thank you very much for whatever you did for me in this company." 

Ramesh was in shock. He was worried that how he will manage his life after 7 days. For 2 days he did not say a single word to any of his family members. 3rd day, he received his experience letter from his organization. Now he made up his mind that he will disclose the truth. That even, on the way back home,he had many thoughts in his mind, "How will my wife behave? My father will fall ill after listening e this news. My mother's eyes will be full of tears. I don't know whether I should tell this thing to my family or not. They might be enjoying at home. This news will end enjoyment from their lives. Oh God! Please help."  Thinking these ideas, he reached his home & knocked the door. Very happily his wife opened the door. Seeing him his wife said, "There is a good news. My younger brother got selected as Engineer in a multinational company with a great salary package. Everyone is so happy. Come let us cut the cake. I have prepared it by my own hand in honour of my brother.

What a great organization? They are hiring in this corona period also. And you know, they are following all the safety norms established by Govt. of India. Finally, my brother got settled. I am so happy." Ramesh, holding hands of his wife came near her & said, "May God give great heights to your brother in his life. But there is bad news too. I lost my job. My boss is saying the organization is in finencial loss in this corona period. They have fired most of their employees." Entire family was in shock for few seconds. Ramesh's father, mother, his wife, all were just looking at him. Ramesh felt broken from inside. He just gave the worst news & spoilt the celebration.

Suddenly Ramesh's mother said, "Actually it's a good news. These industry people, they were spoiling health of my son in this corona period. Now my son will be in front of my eyes." To this Ramesh's wife added,"Mom is right. You see, it's so much workload at home. Now I will have someone to help me in the kitchen." Ramesh's children said, "It's a good news dad. Now you will help us in finishing our homework. Otherwise you are always busy with your own files." 

Tears came in eyes of Ramesh. He was not believing that his family will take this news so positively. From next day onwards, they all just enjoyed with each other, playing games, watching movies, helping each other in household activities, spending quality time with each other, sharing their feelings & problems with each other. They came so close that they spent whole 1 year staying at home & this time passed with a blink of an eye.

Finally after one year good a news came that corona vaccine has been developed by the doctors & Government is organizing camps for it's free distribution. Within few months corona was gone & the normal life revived once again. Ramesh also got a job interview call from a reputed organization & he got selected. To celebrate this new job news, he took a big cake for entire family. Everyone was very happy. Ramesh could see the smile of relief on the face of his mom,dad & wife. He thanked God wholeheartedly to bring this day in his life.

During entire corona period, Ramesh's children had enjoyed enough cake & sweet & now they were fed up of cake.

As Ramesh was about to cut the cake, his little daughter said, "Dad, I am very happy that you got the job. But if you don't mind, can we cut Samosa in place of cake?"

Everybody started laughing. Ramesh bent down his knees & hugged his daughter tight. Tears of happiness were coming out of his eyes.
