Day 10. Lockdown

Dear diary,

Hurray! Today I learned Shirsasan. And utilized this lockdown period. I have completed my Yog Ahiksak diploma in 2017. But I failed to learn Shirsasana at that time. I had some fear about that at the back of my mind. But I had a strong desire to learn shirsasan. But in vain. Now In this lockdown period I utilized my time to watch videos of Yogasana shared by different celebrities and yoga teachers and tried to gain knowledge of yoga. I watched Rujuta Diwekar's video on how to do shirsasan. I tried steps accordingly and did it with wall support which was impossible for me.

In Shirsasana your body is in an inverted position. Your head is down. And the legs are up. People having high blood pressure, low blood pressure, heart problem, slip disc, back pain, etc. cannot do this asana. First, sit in Vajrasan. Keep your hand down. Touch the ground with a hand, interlock four fingers with a separate thumb. Slowly stand on your knees, keep your middle portion of the head on interlocked hand. Slowly come in mountain pose, try to bring legs near head and slowly try to take both legs. The first time you can do this wall support. Your legs go up and head down. You can hold this Asan according to your capacity. But don't try to hold asana first day, eventually, you can hold this asana. First, learn yoga under the guidance of experts. Then only you can try different asanas. By learning this asana my confidence increased. Now I came to know nothing is impossible in this world. So I am trying to learn new things in this lockdown period as I have sufficient time to improve myself.
