Chai & Chandni: Ch8 -The Beginning of Something

Akash & Ameha left the field in the direction of the place Akash mentioned earlier.

"Is your brother always like this?"

"Like how?"

"He literally ignored me as if I don't exist."

"He does not open up easily. You are someone new for him. And someone from the city. He usually do not like any girls from the city."

"Why?"

"Let me just say, everyone has a past. Its not my story to tell."

"You both are annoying. Anyway where are we going?"

"We are close."

"Damn Akash. This place is beautiful. "

Akash had a proud smirk on his face. They both were now standing on a grass stretch facing a huge, beautiful lake with crystal clear water.

"Ahh. This is so nice." Ameha stretched her hands as if taking it all in. 

"Lets sit there." Akash pointed a finger to an shaded area just below a tree.

They sat beside each other. Ameha had a constant smile on her face capturing the immense beauty through her eyes & not from a camera or phone for a change. Akash was looking at her all happy.

"I think I needed this Akash. This is the first 10 minutes since the day I have been here and didn't curse God to send me here."

"What about when you met me? I am offended."

Ameha hit him playfully. She placed her head on his shoulder looking at the huge lake infront.

A smile appeared on Akash's face and he adjusted himself to allow her to lay her head comfortably. Akash shared incidents

and stories of his childhood when they used to play here.

Seeing there is no response, he tilted his head a little to see Ameha already dozed off on his shoulders.

"She looks cute . Just like how she was back then." He thought to himself and his mind rushed back to his teenage days.

FLASHBACK

"Chandni.. Chandni.." Akash woke up hearing this name in the neighboring house.

Akash was back in the village for summer vacations.

He peeked out of the window beside his bed to see a girl presumably younger than him running in the courtyard in the neighboring house. Her mother & grandmother were chasing behind and she was not at all easy to catch jumping, running, giggling. 

Her grandfather entered the house and she rushed to him & hugged her. Akash was fascinated with her cute giggles.

FLAHBACK ENDS

She looked back at her sleeping peacefully on his shoulder. A strand of hair disturbing her sleep. He carefully put the strand behind her ears. The urge he had to place a kiss on her forehead but not the right situation. He tried to soak this view as much as he can. And then looked at the lake.

After around 40 minutes, Ameha opened her eyes to locate herself infront of the lake and looked at Akash who was asleep lying along the tree and her head on his shoulder.

She could see his facial features more closely. "He is handsome." She thought.

Suddenly she had the thought of kissing his beautiful sculpted lips.

"You have lost it Ameha." She thought to herself.
