Blunder

A family from West Bengal in search of a job left their native place and state. His father was a government servant in the union government of India. He did his graduation in science with a poor performance in his academic career. Although his graduation performance was not up to mark, his basic concept in science was crystal clear. Whatever he learned. It was more than enough for survival in office work in comparison with others having a good academic career. He got a job in the scientific department of the central government. He was initially posted to some unpopular station when he was young and bachelor. He was respected in the work-station as he had got the knowledge in depth about instruments and their working. Everybody used to take his help in the office, whenever they faced problem in their daily routine work. He had very good knowledge of Radar and other instruments too.

Unfortunately, he was trapped in some lady scam who was not fair in her conduct. But he was totally blind in her love. Some of the colleagues tried to break his relationship with her. But the magic of that lady was so dominating over him. it was when pigs fly. This matter become so critical, sensitive, and alarming in the local Bengali community. one of the community gentlemen briefed his parents about his son’s drama of love affair ins and out which was spread in length and breadth in the town. Since this information was reached in the whole community. It was a difficult task for his parent to find a match girl for him. Their son was a very handsome boy and job in central government. He would have a very beautiful and charming wife. They thought that their coin was false. Therefore, they selected a very normal educated girl as their daughter-in-law. They were at last successful in persuading their son to marry the girl of their choice. The couple seemed to be very odd and typical.

He got married to the same girl. His father approached the head of the department and briefed him on all the matter. He requested him to transfer his son under him at Nagpur. Since his work was excellent and his conduct was good with office and collogue at the station. The head office had taken the sympathetic view over his fathers request. He was then transferred from that place to Nagpur.

He was a very mixing, helping, and good behaving employee in the office. All the staff and officers had good behavior and relation with him. Soon he became a significant and loving person to all in a short span. He was blessed by nature with two beautiful kids like him. His elder daughter was the most beautiful, charming girl. Son was also handsome like him, but more brilliant than him.

Both kids passed the central board school examination. The girl completed her graduation in science. She was interested in computers. So she joined the computer course in the reputed institute in the city. There were many students in the institute. Since she was extremely beautiful, many students tried to make friends with her. She was very frank, open, and chatty like her father. She also made good relations with her colleagues. But there was a wolf in the sheep’s clothing. He also made friends with her. He was also a very handsome boy like her father. But his intention wasn’t fair at all. She fell in his love. He belonged to a different community having unmatched culture. His father made elbow grease to persuade her daughter. But the boy completely hypnotized her and trap in his plan. They decided to marry each other. They approached the to court for completing legal formalities for the registered marriage.

A drowning man would clutch at a straw, His Father made all effort to stop this marriage till the last moment. But he failed in his mission. Finally, he accepted his daughter’s decision which was a blunder. Parent kept reception for all office colleagues, friends, and relatives by keeping stones on their hearts in honor of the newly married couple.

A leopard can’t change its spot. His son-in-law was more interested in money than her. After few months he exposed his real face slowly. He always asked for money for different causes from time to time. In the beginning, it was taken in the normal way. But his greediness was growing exponentially with time. Then she started resisting him. but her resistance turned into violent activities. His father tried to find out some amicable solution to the crisis. But son-in-law’s intention was crystal clear. He was not at all interested in his wife. He wanted only money for enjoyment from the source. The daughter understood her blunder. All that glitters is not gold. She decided to break relation with her husband. Both applied for divorce and get separated at the drop of a hat.

Meanwhile, his son completed his post-graduation in computer science from a reputed institution. He got a job in a multinational company with a handsome package of twenty-five lack. He served there for few years. He wanted to do a Ph.D. So resigned from the job. He went to America. He completed successfully his Ph.D. from Stanford university in the USA. He was still hungry to gain more knowledge in his field. He did post-Doc, ie popularly known as a doctor of science (D.S ) in India from Harvard University. He was appointed as a fat cat in some multinational company in the USA.

His daughter came out from the problem. She recovered from a bad situation. An idle brain is the devil’s workshop. She, therefore, applied for the job so that she would be self-sufficient and independent throughout her life. She got a job in Hyderabad in a software company. She sat tight for doing the job. she ignored his father's suggestion of remarriage. She joined Hyderabad, soon followed by her parent. Her parent wanted that she should again marry forgetting all the old happenings in her life which were between the rock and hard place. A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what a ship is for. She, therefore, was cold shoulder to her parent.

Every cloud has a silver lining, Her father was in search of another son-in-law. Fortunately, a bachelor candidate came to his notice. He contacted that gentle boy by leaps and bounds. He called a spade a spade to him about her daughter. He requested he meets with her daughter. The boy saw eye to eye him. He came to his house as scheduled without knowing his daughter. she just offered him breakfast and tea. It was an unofficially official meeting. They just talked on the various matter. But boy lifted only those topic of his interest to judge the girl’s attitude, thought, talent hobbies and her social awareness. No doubt, she was a really beautiful, good-looking, smart, and well-cultured girl as noticed. He got along with her in the next few meetings. He then proposed to her as a life partner. Appearances can be deceptive, she rejected his proposal looking at her past history. She briefed his past life. Even though he was ready to accept her open heartily. This was the last straw in her life for a second arranged marriage. His father told her that they wouldn’t be with her forever. You should marry for your further smooth journey.

After the marriage of their daughter, his son also got married to Indian based girl in America. He got the citizenship of America and settled there permanently. He had grandsons from both the wings. His big kids and grandsons either meet on video or physically once in blue moon. Now couple was again alone with so many health problems like high diabetes, blood pressure, and others in the health pipeline. They were operated on a number of times for various health issues. But they did not become the victims of the recent korona epidemic. A few weeks ago, he was operated on the heart. he was okay. He phoned his friend in Nagpur. He expressed his willingness to meet with him at Nagpur. Both were In the same boat. The situation was arrived to think and say, better safe than sorry.
