I pass through the path every day irrespective of my odd office timings. Going there was a mandatory task for me. And every time I pass, I remember my old school days. My school looked so lively and charming as if it was built just a year ago. The warmth and energy in the air blowing above the old school bell charged me up. It was my usual routine to do this.

But on a chilly January day, the road was covered with snow, and it was not even a single moment when it stopped snowing. The just looked like a snow globe.

While I walked through the dark misty road a gale from behind shivered me. As I was about to reach the corner of the road, the streetlights went off. While I walked, a perfect silence followed me, and my footprints disturbed the snow. While I was walking a cat passed by me and looked ferocious. All this together contributed to make me feel agitated and panicked. My childhood fear of darkness and loneliness

stopped me from acting sensibly. I started to think and act superstitiously. But just then my teacher's words flashed in my mind stating ‘That fear is just an illusion of mind and can be defeated with courage.’ I took a deep breath and thought that today I have an opportunity to overcome my fear. I looked straight, clenched my wrist, and started to walk towards my office. A bit later when I reached my office, I felt accomplished and happiness was spread around me.
