A REVERIE THAT CHANGED ME

Tech ruled the universe of 4020 where Cyborgs are all around. Only very few lean, two-legged creature like things are visible as a speck here and there. They are the slaves of these cyborgs and truly in all aspects, they resemble an ordinary human being and their blood might have dried off. 

Suddenly, at a distance, I saw my Professor Jim Fritz. I could see another silhouette image and identified that it's me. Both of us were in the sky trying to get a glimpse of this beautiful paradise named Earth where we all lived peacefully.

Mr Jim said, "When I was young, I seemed to be very enthusiastic unravelling the mysteries of technology ".

" ....But now I feel ashamed of myself at the thought that I too was once fascinated and thrived hard with the invention of cyborgs".

When my Professor was lost in his thoughts, his wife Dr Elizabeth Jack joined us. 

She appeared calm but was deprecated. In a low voice, she said to her husband," I am pretty sure that now you feel dejected upon your discovery... Do you despise your accursed education now? But what's the use of all?" 

We started at the remaining race of ours in pity. Then we mustered up our courage and screamed....we want to regain the peaceful world of bliss and togetherness. We started to work together with more energy trying to fulfil our desire soon. 

We worked day in and day out in our laboratory burning the midnight oil to find a solution to destroy these mindless creatures. All of a sudden, Mr Jim jumped with joy for getting the formula for their destruction. We started our mission and even though a dangerous task, we carried it forth. We witnessed the aftermath of humans chasing and conquering technologies and new inventions. I realised that the entire race of mankind lived in a world of fantasy imagining to live with superpowers. But they conquered us and made humans their slaves. 

I opened my eyes and was perplexed to know that it was a dream and promised myself that I should never let technology conquer us. It should be utilised for preserving our planet and its flora and fauna. Let Mother Earth stay stronger, greener and with abundant resources.
